Very good day at the office today,double profit from lgen rolled over to rise in aviva inspired by my good mathematical/economical/fundemental/analytical self.

Do you invest in fundemental and financial performances or do you try to blindly follow the sheep of share graph analysis.

I ask myself do I invest in a company with eps up 50% in a year and a div of 12% or a company at 8% whos eps has stagnated.
A simple choice and one that was already made earlier today.

Can unleash alot of buying/investing power for Aviva!

Maybe Aviva should use a big chunk of that cash and do a takeover of lgen!
Unleash Tulloch onto cost savings for lgen!

A tale of two companies:
One with an eps up from 38 to 63p
Another with an eps up from 30p to just 30.5p
Tulloch must really be shaking his head in disbelief at the contrarian share performances of these two.

Ok I have expressed the opinion that focussing on cost savings was the correct strategy last year with the massive improvement in Eps the justification.
Now lets take a look at the criticism that value has not been shown by selling off parts.
So what are we saying all companies that are under valued by the stock market need to be chopped up?
Is that really going to do the British economy any good chopping up all its best companies?
Incidentally did Aviva not announce the day after impressive financial results that it was selling off the Indonesian division.

1)Value
Aviva trading off just x4 earnings which jumped to 63p from 38p last year.
Is that a struggling company?
No its one thats focussed on cost efficiency drives under Tulloch,a strategy actually I do not disagree with!
Legal and General eps has practically stagnated going up from 30p to 30.5p from last year to this years figures.

Aviva 12.05%
lgen 8.65%
3)Broker Assessment
I dont think the above facts have escaped the brokers ratings issued by Goldman Sachs today 26/3

Just switched over to Aviva from Lgen for a number of reasons!
Feeling like a salmon going upstream quite contrarian!

Like the illness sometimes it can get better before it gets worse!

Lgen up nicely past couple of days and saga up 25% I think at 19p.
Tesco seems to be normalising with supplies a bit more.

Maybe Amazons a good share buy,its the only place to buy non food items in lock down.
Currently 1900 dollars a share.
Plus people sitting at home more likely to sign up to amazon prime.
