...Never more true than here. I was going to sell pre election, just never got around to it. I still believe this is a great stock, but sadly I think of all the extra shares (and Divi) I could have had if my timing was better and I'd stuck to the plan. Hey Ho!

...a bit gloomy at the moment, however I'm sure that the SP will improve as Summer gives way to Autumnn and sales pick up. Meanwhile, a nice payout to look forward to. A good buying window with a cash gift, what more could an investor ask for.

...This is one of the better investments around at the moment. Luckily, I got in at 3800 or so on the last big drop, so I'm getting 8% in divi's, plus any rise in SP, currently around 12%. The Wolfson family are old hands at the Mail Order game and have been for 60 years or so, since it all began. Only the format has changed. The Interweb may be the coming thing regarding shopping, but I would back Next to be right up there, plus they have a good presence in the shopping malls and manage the real estate very well. Buy and leave invested and you will double your money in 10 years. (IMHO of course)

...interesting to see what the Placing price is when the bookbuild closes. Citi won't want to pay over the odds and Pepsi will be looking at a good profit. The market will decide!

r10: It's all about percentages rather than SP. I'm heavily into NXT which are currently around £44, I got in initially at £38, £38 again and the last lot at £40. Not a large number of shares, but it's showing around 15% increase, second only to EZJ (38%) in my SIPP and paying 8% on the divi. Not guaranteed of course, but good cash reserves. So although Severn might be £26 a pop, if you're confident, buy in. You may get less shares, but it's the value that counts.

...from RBC should help us get back into the 1350's. Lots more to come here as the holiday season progresses.

...the increase is being sustained. The SP fell a long way on bad news (profits etc), and should now re-rate with the strategy changes being implimented and the increased profile following the cyber attacks of late. This is good company, who had lost it's way during a period of expansion. The expansion plans will start to pay off, with a more focused, wiser BoD. IMHO of course.

...who has made a reasonable profit by being in and out here for the last year or so, (and managed to be out when it counted!), I think the BoD are serious about rejecting the offer. I believe the company is undervalued at the moment due to the need to re-structure and re-equip, which has led to the drop in SP and has tempted the other players to make a bid. The upside is around £13 a pop, a way off for sure, but I think a sell off at the current low SP will not be well accepted. My own view is that the SP will drift back as the rejection is seen to be real and not a ploy. Many of the large holders have been here a while and will support the BoD, so a hostile T/O will have to offer a lot more. I'll be watching and waiting.
