Yes, good tactic but I was in a bit of a rush this morning and was happy enough at 1260p. I still have a bit left so may top upon any further dips, but ANGS is looking tempting at the moment. Different class of investment from here, but should pick up in the next few weeks, whilst this will probably stay at this level for a similar time.

...Full year Divi just at 96p, 1270p would give a return of 7.6%. Any Capital growth from increasing SP would be a bonus. GFRD is the largest single holding in both my SIPP and ISA and I will be adding on any dips. Best return I have at the moment.

The BoD have said that the divi will maintained, (as far as they can), so the return can only increase should the SP fall. My feeling is that GFRD are still suffering the effects of their disastrous diversions away from what they do best. They have promised not to be that stupid again, so things should get better. We can all be busy fools that work hard for little return, that is not what I expect from this company!

Hi Gig, Just seems strange that folk would sell so heavily at this stage in the proceedings. I appreciate that IOG has moved up a level from the days when I was only a 'watcher', but having been well stuffed with dilutions at VOG and a few others, I do worry if other investors know things that aren't available to the rest of us.

That sounds rather desperate! Maybe you wouldn't want to sell, but clearly many more do. No doubt somebody will say that it's a 'tree shake' or MM's are taking out stop losses, but IOG never seems to hang on to it's gains in the way the ANGS or HNR do. And I'm sure the diehards will say that it will come good eventually. If I thought otherwise I wouldn't be here, but if it is such a good prospect, why are so many selling?

realdeal: Wise up. It's what happens when MM's are short of shares or are filling a big order. They drop the SP, mop up the stop losses, then go back up to sell at a higher price. Personally, I would never set a stop loss, better to monitor the SP if possibe.

I first bought in here in January this year at 522p. I believe that CPI are a virtual government department and were hitting a bad patch due to poor management. My faith appeared to have been well placed as they bounced back. I sold at 640p and watched with interest as they appeared to recover. I have continued to watch, sadly, as the fortunes reversed again and I'm trying to understand why the company is still struggling. The new CEO seems to be right for thejob and I'm wondering wether now is the time to re-invest. I'm still convinced that this is a good business, which is well placed for the future. The current price is tempting for sure, but unless the problems are really being dealt with, I'm not certain that the SP is back on the way up.

Got to agree. The BoD seem to want the SH's to sit it out and stop complaining. A little bit of good news now and then would help. Perhaps they're testing our resolve and are saving the good news for the upcoming Interim Statement due in early November.
