It's not just the war in Ukraine.
There is a high risk that the Russian owners will delist in London and list in Moscow. If this were to happen the shares would have little value in Britain and it would be virtually impossible to receive any dividend.
All IMHO of course.
I wish people would think before they post...
...nearly spilt my coffee!
What announcement?
Is there an RNS?
What a load of tosh!
It may fall in line with the rest of the market as tomorrow will be a bad day IMHO due to Mad Vlad's threat, but with the POE so high, any fall will not be relevant long term.
I'll be looking to buy back in at some point this week.
...throw Chelsea out of the Premier League!
Fair point PV, we all have our own agenda - as Mad Vlad is proving!
I sold all my holdings in Shell & Bp on Monday as I'm nervous about the tie ups they both have with Russia. I'm well in profit on them both and intended holding the cash ready for a drop (still waiting) and things to stabilise, as they provide a good income each quarter.
However, with the drop today the temptation is to put it in here. That would mean that I'd have over 50% of my pot with IOG. I have never gone over 20% in one holding.
Like the rest of the LTH's, I'm used to IOG letting us down whilst promising so much, however I still believe that WHEN first gas is delivered, we will reap the rewards of our patience. I do, honest!
WOW!
Why would anybody unload that many shares at this stage of the game?
...if the connection with Gazprom is pulling us back a little.
Further sanctions on Russian linked companies could preclude us from dealing with them in which case how would we stand legally?
As a LTH here with an average of circa 9p, it is crap for me, but I had written this off two years ago.
For the newbies it is also crap as the amount of shares to be issued for the T/o will dilute Sound massively. I doubt anybody will be able to sell at 1.5p on the day.
No doubt the BoD have a different agenda!
DavidH - DYOR of course, but I've held ANGS for a long time and have accepted that with an average of 9p I'll be lucky to see any profit, but at the current levels and the fact that they are on the cusp of gas sales, they may be worth a punt. They are a punt as my opinion of the BoD is not printable and nothing they do would surprise me. However there is a lot going on and as the mkt cap is well below the asset value, any offer would have to be well above the current sp to stand a chance.
