Some quick calculations comparing each 2024 and 2025 mining production numbers to the average 2024 and 2025 metals/minerals average prices I have worked out a additional 9 billion in revenue from mining operations alone for 2025, hopefully a strong performance from the trading operations as well.

GLEN currently trading at a 10% premium over RIO based on the last 4 weeks performance just prior to the announcement of the merger. RIO share price also performing well so GLEN SP will keep rising in unison. Plus another 10% to come on the announcement of a offer if follows usual trends of 30% premium.

I’m expecting SP rise in most mining stocks going forwards, great demand in base metals for the production of VE vehicles, Heat pumps and wind farms, the next great demand is the upgrade of electricity distribution/transmission cables and transformers to serve the increase in electricity demand. Most networks in built up areas are already struggling to meet demand and will need significant upgrades for increased capacity. In the UK do not expect a fall in electricity prices anytime soon. These upgrades are all funded by OFGEM via green taxes on bills etc. will cost many billions for years to come.

I don’t get why gold has such value, there is so much out of use stored in vaults. Small amounts used in electronics and jewellery being the biggest industry, where as copper is used in such large quantity’s in the electrical industry with such strong demand, I don’t see copper prices coming down anytime soon due to physical usage demand whereas when the time comes that gold does pull back I think I will be big percentage falls.

I’m thinking the Greenland grab is more a strategic decision to leave NATO altogether and turn its back on Europe. US will likely bomb IRAN military Friday night after markets close.. protests and killings ongoing, temporary pull back in IRAN oil exports due to regime collapse so short term oil price spike incoming.
