Yes official SEC stated it should be today (closure) and tomorrow (trading)

Look out for PELI to file a 8-A12B or CERT today, which will finalise the listing.

Could file it tomorrow to be fair but its truly imminent now.

I have bought simply for the GLND IPO hype, which if I have read correctly, is expected to close today and list tomorrow!

So the history of the company or the fact it will take years to produce is completely irrelevant to me, I am buying simply on GLND hype (greenland + oil) and a history of explosive US IPO's leading to a material valuation uplift in 80M in the short term.

Did anyone ever get an official response of confirmation from MarchGL or 80M about that stupid option comment?

I reached out to MarchGL and 80M and have not had anything back

Looking very cheap now with oil at $100 and EVEN if there was an option, 40% higher than todays SP...

I know there isn't but why not RNS it as I suspect many people will be now on the sidelines or have taken 80M off the radar (as evidenced by the SP, although that is likely due to PELI and it was trading around here anyway before the IPO date became more certain)

I suspect if they said they were listing tomorrow it would shoot right back up... just a game of patience.

On the 'option' which is clearly not an option to buy at IPO price before anyone comments on that, did anyone actually get any official clarify on why on earth RP said what he said?

Should be an explosive week, suspect we are down today due to the overall market sell off - people are cautious to go all in on oil, and selling everything else, a truly terrible market at the moment but these things usually dont last as long as the doom-mongers suggest

The IPO is £1.49p anyway so its not like its discounted from the current SP, would still actually make money! Although I doubt anyone would stick around for 10% upside.

It makes zero sense to have any buy out option

They have no right to anything on our 30%, IF we have given them 'first offer' e.g. like the US do with many assets where they say 'we have first refusal on buying your stake at the prevailing valuation' then yes thats fine, thats just like saying if a bidder comes along and offers $500m we have an option to match that and buy it ourselves for $500m, perfectly normal and happens all the time

giving away 30% for IPO price for absolutely nothing in return when its already worth whatever the IPO would be... makes little to zero sense, actually negative sense.

No idea why the CEO stated what he did, guess we will find out tomorrow.

I mean its like me coming to your house now and saying give me an option to buy 30% of your house, at todays price, and you say OK.

Why would anyone in the right mind do that?

You might say yes if I offer you say 10% of the current value as a loan or a payment if you needed it for something, but just out the blue for no reason just because I own next door or the land, I mean it makes no sense whatsoever. 80M are not part of the IPO, we own the other 30% but they have absolutely no right to it whatsoever or have any control over it or influence.

Best case, option to buy 30% at the prevailing SP as they will make an offer to avoid other bidders getting involved, even if its something like the 5 day VWAP or whatever.

As 80M own the stake and it has nothing to do with the IPO, I mean they dont even have to communicate with GLND, we own 30% and can do what we want with it, so to sign an option for absolutely nothing in return (no cash fee or anything?) seems absolutely ludicrous.

If its true then post where you found it / source, the SP rises even higher (because that's a positive development not a negative one, they are interested in buying the asset)

If its not true then its been posted to create a bit more buying pressure so someone can sell into the liquidity

Hopefully it is true and the company clarify because IF GLND ARE INTERESTED IN BUYING THE 30% STAKE thats a big positive as they clearly appear to be, but NOT AT IPO PRICE, at the current price on discovery. (which is still helpful if there is a bidding war et al)

because thats the next catalyst, the IPO goes ahead at a fixed price, he has no idea how the market will react but on a discovery he knows the valuation of the asset would skyrocket, so thats the USP / upside

Why would he take the option if theres no oil? Of course he would only action it on a discovery, so they can buy the remaining 30% for buttons.

As you say its a terrible deal so hopefully it hasn't been agreed in any form.

Speculation until company clarify. The CEO outright said it, you are the ones twisting his words saying well maybe he meant this or that... no he didnt he clearly said massive upside for GLND on discovery because they have an option to buy an extra 30%, otherwise theres no upside, just buy it now?

At the end of the day the company need to clarify what, if any, option there is

The current valuation of the IPO, does that mean the prevailing SP or does that mean the IPO valuation?

Likely means the current IPO valuation but if its means the prevailing SP e.g. Current share price on strike, then thats fine we have all the upside remaining.

He didnt say that at all he clearly says they have an exclusive option to buy 80M 30% stake at the IPO price, which means zero upside unless he is talking absolute rubbish, and he also said this gives glnd massive upside potential, there wouldnt be any upside if he had to pay face value

Company need to come out and explain immediately as if this has been withheld from investors its a massive issue.

Yep spot on Cyber its the same with silver and yttrium, producers make a fortune as the industry just takes it in stride, the bigger issue is shutting down production because you dont have enough helium, the costs of that are a total catastrophic disaster.

Will be the placing money still in the system holding it back, they are all sitting on a 20% profit not everyone will sell but a few will definitely cash in, dont think it will be much so perhaps a day or two -not concerned anyway as helium is only just hitting the headlines today. Will ramp up over the weekend.
