Couldn't agree more Myles, I was going to post on twitter but will post here:
Upcoming HyProMag "Only" Calalysts:
UK
- UK just announced the new critical minerals strategy, and although it has come under scrutiny (from myself) funding is being made available in greater quantities for primarily three main commodities with a major focus on recycling, these being lithium tungsten and rare earths. The only competitor to HyProMag is Ionic and its likely we can even work together, with our connections and suppliers, in terms of Tungsten its almost certain they are focussing on Tungsten West (TUN.L) but thats a different matter! Scale will now start to ramp up in the UK and by the end of next year, with some investment and help from the GOVT to indentify feedstock via partners and new policies, we can get to those 100-300t figures.
GERMANY
Production starting imminently! Very exciting as we have already had approvals in Germany from ZF (major electronics giant) and they do seem to be more interested than the UK. Feedstock, being located in a major manufacturing HUB, should be supportive and the EU have already announced a few schemes for additional funding. I think Germany could quickly overtake the UK as a huge driver for HyProMag
JAPAN
An almost certainty, dont forget that HyProMag has a deal with EnviPro, one of the largest recyclers in the world with revenue of over $300m USD per annum. In Envipros recent report they suggested that the HyProMag plant would be operational in 2027 adding 10-15% revenue, that is a huge statement to make. They also suggested that potential partners in the sector would likely be Toyota and Honda. In the Geo Landscape its clear China is now more focussed on Japan than any other country, and with a debt ration of 240% Japan is looking somewhat vulnerable. Major investment into HyProMAG IMHO Is immiment in Japan and Japans market is absolutely astronomical, I believe Japan will eventually be second only to the US with potential to even overtake due to the massive amounts of feedstock available and experitse.
USA
The golden goose at the moment, recent invetor call with Cotec (now on youtube) suggested
- $600m NPV per plant 3x plants
- US GOVT asked for a bigger plan, go big and go fast approach (several hubs)
- Offtakes advancing fast
- Funding pretty much sorted at a debt level, not short of interest from even offtakes who want security of supply.
- new made in US approach, no change to production Mid 2027.
Final notes, we know the UK and EU DO NOT LIKE MINING, ESG laws will mothball 90% of projects even with the new approach, so slowly but surely my prediction that ALL ROADS LEAD TO RECYCLING is coming true, and this should materialise in Q1.
Sum of the parts valuation to MKA is around $1.2bn at current spot price (market cap $145)
If you want to buy Cotec, you can have that for $100m at the moment, sum of the parts around $1-1.1bn (Inc. Lac Jeannine and MagIron, different assets)
