Mr Newbee, I agree, I think the RNS will claim the NICe announcement as good news as they confirm officially that other hopistals can use AIHL to collect data, so roll out may continue.

I agree. It's incredible that scientific research can sometimes take so long, but many people suffer whilst evidence is still being gathered. Just look at the covid vaccines and the protests that took place because those vaccines were fast-tracked by governments and rolled out years ahead of normal approval processes. Normal service has resumed, I'd say. It will take years for AIHL to get full approval but it doesn't mean hospitals can't adopt it, they will just have to find the money to pay for AIHL themselves. Shall I put you down for the sponsored walk?

5+ years... its only 3 years. the RNS is great news :) Mind you NICE state 3 years , Mr Budd just stated "years" so it could well take 5+ years but I doubt GDR will still exist by then.

In that case you must be very rich and can afford to lose 45k on a random punt, nevertheless a sponsored walk to raise money for hospitals to buy AIHL wouldn't harm. Perhaps the next GM could be held en route.

Then why didn't you sell when RNS 30th March he clearly stated it will take years to gather the extra data NICE require? It's there in black and white. This is what investing is all about.

Right now no-one. Hence my sponsored walk idea.. for GDR (mr Budd), PI's and employees of RF to walk across our great nation to each and every neonatal unit carrying buckets for donations and stickers and leaflets to raise awareness.

Well let this be a lesson to you, next time read the RNS several times. This will take years to gather the data , as Mr Budd told us, and then NICE will review it, who knows how long that will take. Look on the bright side 6 months has already passed since Mr Budd told us it wil take years, so we are well on our way.

Exactly!! Nothing has changed! data collection has been going on for ages and will continue. The only thing we need to worry about is our investment and what Mr Budd is going to do to gain access to the draw downs and keep the lights on whilst data collection is continuing for years.

Mr Jimi, that wouldn't surprise me either. GDR investors may have their heart in the right place, saving hearing/lives etc but I wonder whether some of them can make their own breakfast in the morning.

mr lay****, this has always been the case and it is nothing new!! :) why do you think i'm trying to organize a sponsored bloody walk? the nhs needs funds provided by charities and the like to pay for aihl as full arecommendation by nice and access to government funds for aihl will take years, we now know nice expects 3 years. mother of god.

Mr Budd stated it formerly in the RNS 30th March.. it would take years... OK now we know it may take 3 years (NICE ALLOW # YEARS and want regular updates wrt data collection). The data collection has been going on for years in manchester. So what is everyone worried about. THere is nothing NEW in this NICE announcement. You could even say that its good news as , its 3 years and not 5 years. Don't tell me the rampers are going to stop ramping? Please don't stop ramping.

Don't tell me PI's though the extra evidence NICE requested would be forthcoming in months???? If so, it explains why the SP has held up so well.
