They can continue to try and sell off bits like IP and do a firesale on the huge piles of stock management accidentally bought too much of, but it won't be enough.

The Hilco loan is secured against assets so they are further restricted on the bits they can carve off. The only thing that will save it would be if Dunkerton decided to set more money on fire in a capital raise to stagger on for a bit longer, but easier to accept the failure and go into administration.

I did think lower electricity costs would have been more of a catalyst in 2023 than they were in the end, after the surges in 2022, especially the natural gas bubble with its correlation to grid prices. I don't believe this chart reflects new hash coming online, so for those miners that have expanded most aggressively over recent months, the higher efficiency / lower relative energy consumption of newer rigs will help offset costs. The elephant in the room is rationally speaking even some of the decent miners should turn off some of their older rigs where they don't make economic sense to run. That would mean less overall EH, less investor interest and depreciation/accounting write offs, so it's unlikely to happen unless their hands are forced.
