Free float contradiction31 Jan 2026 12:16
This says there is not a small free float so should not be volatile? I am confused
THG (The Hut Group Plc), the UK online retailer listed on the London Stock Exchange, has a relatively high free float, estimated around 70-74% of its ordinary voting shares based on recent data.Recent FiguresAs of late 2025 data, sources report free float at approximately 73.75% (MarketScreener) or 865.93 million shares out of 1.39 billion outstanding (FT Markets). Yahoo Finance notes a float of about 422 million shares, implying roughly 27% freely available after insider holdings of ~41%.Context for VolatilityThis substantial free float supports decent liquidity for THG, reducing extreme volatility compared to low-float stocks, though trading volume and news still drive swings. Older 2021 figures pegged it over 70%, with minimal changes since.
