Regarding the previous posts expressing concern over the content of TR1s.
Take todays, concerning Morgan Advanced Materials plc. Admittedly it is unclear as to who is notifying about whom, but generally when you have a company such as M&g, LGEN, Aviva etc. which holds investments in many other companies, you will see a number of these TR1s as and when the investing company (eg M&g) aggregated through their various funds, pass through a notifiable level of shareholding in the relevant company, eg 5%, 10% etc.
Todays, concerning Morgan (MGAM) is a notification that M&g's aggregate holding in MGAM fell below the notifiable level of 5%. This TR1 has also been posted on the MGAM bb. If you scroll down the TR1 you can see that it lists the wholly owned investment funds of M&g which hold these shares in MGAM, indicating that it is M&g buying or selling shares in MGAM and not the other way round. Also the TR1 says the resulting holding is approx. 14m - 5% of the target company's shares making the target company's issued shares approx 280m. Looking up MGAM on their LSE bb under their 'Share Price' button, you will see the number of MGAM shares in issue is 285m. QED.
Sorry I've been so long winded - just one of those days! Hope it's helped though.
Crappyharry - I read your 16:24 with interest but didn't spot any reasoning in it. Pray tell why construction couldn't start next year?
Also please confirm the conditions under which you will leave this bb (your post didn't make sense on that point) as some people may be interested.
Just out of interest, aren't they teaching punctuation in your class at the moment?
It seems possible that a PFS followed quickly by a DFS/BFS could be agreed with construction commencing mid 2022. At this point aren't CGP liable to cough up for their share of costs to date and their share of the build costs as it progresses?
Big Dude seems mighty relaxed about this oncoming iceberg! Wonder why?
Moller was only ever there as Nick's bagman/a**e protection! Room 101 beckons.
LT puzzles me however. On recent presentations his body language suggests calm and assured, yet his public rants suggest he hasn't got a grip of things. Is he an eejit or does he know enough that we don't that enables him to be calm and assured?
I have my voting paper in front of me but I'm holding back to see if Darryl has anything of influence to say before the end of the week.
RK1 - surprised that you (and now me) are the only ones to make reference to this.
SLUG signs off his 01:00 post as 'mather'. Typo, teaser or terrible lapse of memory?
SLUG is a 2 day newbie on LSE, posting exclusively on this BB, mainly during Oz daytime.
SLUG = SLOG (often used here) moving at a snail's pace. Give credit for a sense of humour!
Chrisn3 - if I'm an idiot, why are you interested if I'm a Lloyds investor and where I think the SP is heading?
Regarding Climate change, it has been changing since the Earth came into being. The current debate is whether it is man made or not.
Regarding the Cuban Missile Crisis, I'm quite confident that I'm better researched on the subject than you are. To correct you, the Crisis did happen, though Nuclear War didn't, which is why you are around to believe what you do.
Foolish youth.
MVarawa - agree with the point you make, but I remember it (I'm slightly older than you) as being a 4 minute warning of impending death.
I remember in October 1962, at the height of the Cuban missile crisis, when the BBC were reporting that Russian ships carrying nuclear missiles were only hours from Cuba and the American navy were blockading the island to prevent their passage that there was a likelihood of nuclear war. At school that morning some classmates were saying that their parents had kissed them goodbye as they mightn't see them ever again.
Little wonder I laugh when I see Greta Turdberg tearfully (?) talking of her fears.
It's not comparing like with like comparing Norway's and UK's use of the North Sea Oil and Gas income. Norway has a population of 5.4m, UK 68m!
The UK has spent billions of pounds a year for decades subsidising the EU, billions supporting devolution for Scotland and Wales and heaven knows how much supporting the feckless benefits scroungers, both home grown and immigrated.
RK1 - you've mentioned before that you enjoy visiting Tynemouth. Hope you take time to pay homage at the statue of Admiral Lord Collingwood, the victor at the Battle of Trafalgar. (It's a good line to drop into a discussion and watch the look on people's faces!)
Scarborough has seen better days, but retains great character. Not easy to get to and with temperatures the way they are now, there aren't too many people about. I prefer it that way.
A visit to a traditional old local, The North Riding Brew Pub, which sells some of the best beer in the North (brewed by the owner) is worth the trip alone!
RK1 - Re your 09:48 - 'It will be interesting to see how man y options he gets and at what exercise price...'
Agreed. That was my first thought when I saw the RNS. Should give us a pointer as to how Dazzer negotiated the future of his appointment.
Just realised that the man currently bankrolling Aston Villa, who have just signed Steve Gerrard as manager, is (according to Wikipedia )the richest Arab and second richest African, being worth $8.7b and is called Nassef Sawiris and is the brother of our mate Naguib.
