Have I missed something?

Would a white label manufacturing agreement be a sign of takeover though?

@Silverfox - Don't know how accurate the trades list is, but my buy from earlier is still showing as a sell.

@sharesaplenty - Monday's RNS was such a pleasant surprise I was tempted to print it out and frame it. Like you say, once the full picture emerges I don't think we'll see the likes of a penny a share again. Nothing more than my opinion of course, and I'm not going to attempt to guess a price, but hopefully in many years to come this will top up my pension very nicely! (Just to mention TRX is only a part of my retirement plan, not the whole thing) :-)

@Littlebricks - I had a quick look at Smith + Nephew's website last night off the back of someone's comment (someone else had also previously mentioned it). I couldn't find anything there, but to be honest I'm not convinced they're even in the running. I don't really think the distance between Leeds and Hull is relevant.

Yes, I remember reading that, and you may well be right. Someone else mentioned it too, but I can't remember who it was now. I thought your post was very informative.

Littlebricks - Just noticed you were one of those who mentioned Cardinal!

Littlebricks - Obviously no-one knows for sure who TRX are collaborating with, but Cardinal Health has been mentioned a couple of times. There's nothing in these posts to suggest insider info, it's just from having 'a cheeky google'. I looked on their website and couldn't find anything which points to a new collaboration - maybe (if it is them), they want to hang fire a while before making an announcement.
Like I say, the name has cropped up a couple of times, and it might be someone completely different, but with a share price of around $50USD, I'd certainly be happy to collaborate!

Qd22 - You raise some very interesting points, most of which I can't answer I'm afraid, however...
The RNS states that the R&D from both companies have been working together on a new product for which initial orders have already been received. Whilst the RNS makes no mention of a deal being signed, sealed and delivered, I would think this has already gone way beyond being just a gentleman's agreement. The details may also be vague because the other company has requested this for the time being.
Rightly or wrongly I'm quite glad about the white label manufacturing bit. Take for example, Covonia cough medicine. A well known brand over here, which is actually made by Thornton & Ross, who also manufacture Zoflora and Savlon to name just a few. This would mean that TRX are still able to manufacture their own products, and it's seems unlikely that the other company is interested in any sort of takeover, they just want TRX to manufacture a particular product for them. That's my understanding of it anyway, although I've never worked in commerce / business either.
There are definitely more questions than answers at the moment, but things may be clearer come the end of June (ish).

Thanks TheOldBee. Yes, I have mentioned pay day a few times before - I get paid 4 weekly, so don't know if that ties in with my posts? There have been times where I've changed my mind about waiting until payday, and have taken it out of my savings, then paid myself back on payday (if that makes sense). Most of my wage goes on savings, I only invest a small amount of it. I haven't mentioned anything about what I do with the rest of my wage because it just isn't relevant on here.

I think we have very similar strategies:-) I think working from home and effectively being on standby in front of my computer is making me obsess over TRX. At least when I get back to work proper, I'll have something to take my mind off it!

Thanks both for your replies, it makes a bit more sense now. I'm looking to hold for many years to come, and whilst the nightmare that was Sirius lost me money, I also learnt a lot about my risk appetite, (turns out I'm not as fazed by it as I thought). I even stated in my earlier post that the price is bound to dip at some point, so I could average up here, and maybe average back down again then, depending on the circumstances.

Does anyone average up? I don't know much about it, but heard something the other day, and that the great Mr Buffett himself has done it. I always thought trying to get your average down would be better?

I'm not going to guess at future share prices, mainly because coming from me it would be nothing more than a highly uneducated one and serve no purpose whatsoever. But if you'd have told me last week that I'd be in profit as from yesterday I would have struggled to believe it. Obviously there will be times when it goes back down again, but here's hoping they will be nothing more than tiny bumps on a long road.
Time to get some petrol in that bus - we're in for one hell of a ride!

KJM100K - Me too. And I wouldn't mind, but my average is 0.97. What the hell is wrong with me?! Too damn impatient, that's my trouble, especially as I intend to hold for ~10 years (circumstances depending). On the whole though, today's RNS has made my bloody day!
