SMA’s:
This is where the immediate future of ALGW lies. Finance is not needed, UHNW individuals are still very interested and GS is able to meet face to face in the US. These could feature in the update.
From the podcast:
Gobind Sahney:
Well the aspirations are still basically the same, but the changes come in the approach to getting them accomplished. The simple answer is that we take Institutional Investor requirements and adapt them to market conditions. Now, for instance, the fees generated in a disposal and acquisition mandates turned out to be minimal and we determined that it was not really worth the time. So, as a cost benefit analysis, our first advisory mandate was merged into the fund. They liked the idea of the Fund and waited for that and merged into that. Effectively the Black Oak Alpha Growth Fund is no longer an advisory mandate and instead the short term credit facility that we announced is a type of advisory mandate. This came about over the days, weeks and months. After communication with our prospective clients we announced a proprietary hybrid product, which is essentially a debt equity structure. We had a roundtable with the top 10 insurance companies in the UK and we had great conversations with them. As these conversations progressed they liked what they saw, but some like the debt aspect of it while others like the equity aspect of it. So, essentially that hybrid has moved on to focusing on the individual pieces separately. Essentially the fund is the equity part and the bonds, that we are developing through the short term credit facility, is the debt part. So, this is an example of how the conversations have evolved, keep in mind that we're still having discussions on the advisory mandates for separate managed funds, these are ongoing and we’re very optimistic that these will still occur.
3 buys in the first minute of trading, this is looking good GLA.
The close was 2.1000 - 2.2000. The high was 2.2000 and there were another dozen trades after 16:02:20. Volume was 3,323,519 shares and £65,159.62.
No point sending me a private message m8, I don't have a premium account. TR-1s give my full name, find me on fb :)
For the latest analysis go to share-talk(dot)com. Golden Cross turnovers mean we could break out and test 3p again.
with iDealing: 1.8560 - 1.9750, full ask paid.
In the US I don't know, here I don't think it applies to Company Directors.
@simgod: LSE's sytems hardly ever work properly. The Share price/Bid/Ask/Change above are often wrong. The share trades are usually woefully behind the times. Go to the London Stock Exchange page for ALGW for accurate data.
It is based on my always ongoing research so yes it is based on substance. However I have had to make guesses and assumptions as well but on balance I'd say 8/10.
GS said end June / early July for the update. Past experience would indicate later rather than earlier so I wouldn't be surprised if the update was delivered on Friday 10th or even Monday 13th July as both are still 'early July'. Having said that I think the update will be well worth the wait.
Pretty sure we'll all be able to sing along with him soon :) The long range Teslas do about 300 miles on a full charge. These days that's further than I want to drive in 1 day. The Corvette though, that could get you a speeding ticket while parked on the drive.
News due early July, pretty sure it'll be GOOD. I've owned a couple of Corvettes in the past, a 1976 and a 1969 and loved them. Do I look to order the 2020 Corvette which is soooo beautiful or should I be 'green' and go for a Tesla when they come with the 1mn mile battery? There's already a Tesla charging point at our Kent home for when my middle child visits :p
@Rambo23: I'm retired and I normally live in Spain. We were in the UK for the 1st birthday of our youngest (of 10) grandchild and we got stuck in our Kent home when lockdown happened. The money that I have invested in the Stock Market is there for the long term so I can stick with ALGW until buyout. I might look at reducing in the high teens.
GS never does anything on time, personally I'd give it a week longer than that.
@Rambo: TBH ALGW's MCap won't have anything to do with the Company's earnings. At this comparatively early stage in the Company's growth/development it's all about what value punters put on the Company's prospects/future earnings. Once the business model is proven the sp will race far ahead of any calculation based on P/E ratio.
Raaydaar: I've been called much worse :)
@Raadaar: GS, DS et al are Americans. There is no currency except the mighty $Dollar$ :)
If you go back to the beginning Danny Swick said he was looking to make ALGW a $100 million MCap company which I took to be their exit strategy and hoped for valuation. That's £80 million which equates to 39p/share. You'd have to be prepared to wait until the company is bought out though and how many of you would be able to resist selling well before that.
Sorry for the typo in your name Bobby, I've only just noticed it. I have to admit that it made me laugh though, sorry :)
