Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
Molopo Farms is why I am invested in POW. I really hope POW hold on to Molopo Farms as long as possible. It is effectively a smaller Bushveld Complex with exploration being difficult due to covering sediments. POW found nickel in their initial drills and were very excited about what they had then nothing.
I am not taking part in the IPOs.
I invest here to have a finger in lots of exploration opportunities rather than single shot explorations.
SP28 ..... no problem buying a small addition this morning
I think thoughts of £20 a share are pie in the sky (but you never know!).
The people that know most about the location are the management. I wish I knew the stuff they haven't told us about yet. Their estimate is £1 Billion (or £8.62 a share). Enough to more than set me up for the rest of my days.
I suspect that before £8.62 is reached we will be bought out.
With the price action today then maybe folks have been reading this thread lol
Assuming the figures above are correct then how much revenue could PXC receive from the resource?
129,641 tonnes of copper - price today US$ 9271.50 - revenue US$ 1,201,966,531.5
58,440 tonnes of zinc - price today US$ 2922.50 - revenue US$ 170,790,900
10,133,772 ounces of silver - price today US$ 25.200 - revenue US$ 255,371,054.4
355,523 ounces of gold - price today US$ 1803.40 - revenue US$ 641,150,178.2
Total potential revenue US$ 2,269,278,664.10
Obviously PXC won't recover 100% of the resource or achieve 100% extraction of these metals from the ore. There will be significant infrastructure and running costs too (which the recent fund raising should cover till revenue generation starts at Empire).
But over US$2 billion!
Pictures of some of the drill core are on the company website.
I can't wait to see assay results from those drill cores!
I agree.
Looks like whoever created the presentations reduced the presentation in size (so it downloads quicker) but this impacts the quality of each picture.
What about the PGM side of things? Awaiting assay results to see if there are any PGM worth exploiting too...
**** Ramblings here - do NOT rely on these figures - it is far too early to produce meaningful stats yet ****
Lets make some assumptions here:
Length of mineralised structure = 12km
Depth of mineralisation = 100m
Width of mineralisation = 100m
Average Ni grade =0.25%
Density of rock = 3.0
Recovery rate = 70%
POW ownership = 40%
Price of nickel = US $16,500 per tonne
Calculations based on above estimates:
Volume of mineralised body = 100m x 100m x 12000m = 120,000,000 cubic metres
Weight of mineralised body = 360,000,000 tonnes
Weight of Ni in that mineralised body = 900,000 tonnes
Weight of Ni recovered = 630,000 tonnes
Percentage due to POW = 40%
Value of the POW 40% Ni = US$ 4,158,000,000
Anyone want to buy the POW 40% stake in an undeveloped US$10 billion Nickel mine from us?
No wonder the guys are pleased. If these guesstimates are anywhere near close to the mineralisation POW have discovered then they have made a significant discovery!!!!
**** Ramblings here - do NOT rely on these figures - it is far too early to produce meaningful stats yet ****
Interesting results.
Still early days. Loads more questions though:
* What volume of rock the geophysics anomolies contain that POW are drilling into?
* Average % Ni within those potential ore bodies?
* Cost to sink shaft, build mine infrastructure etc. to get the product out?
* PGM and gold results due when?
Wonder if this RNS is being watched by the big boys....
Great youtube video of the meeting. So very interesting information in there.
Many thanks to everyone who pulled this together.
I think we are seeing the advantage of having an account leading the company here. All the regulatory obstacles to payouts being dealt with well ahead of the time they are needed. Good planning and execution.
Let's hope there are good distributions coming to us in the years ahead.
No news on POW website or new RNSs to the stockmarket for a few days.
Is this like the lack of dog barking in the Hounds of the Baskervilles equivalent to the lack of news for a few days being an indicator of something big going on in the background at POW? Maybe Paul is just taking a couple of days holiday though!
(Just curious - not complaining).
Spot on StanleyUK.
If you want an example where a company communicates regularly then look at Power Metal Resources (POW.L). You can hardly look at their website and there are updates and media events with Power Metal Resources there discussing their progress. You know exactly where they are on each project. Undoubtedly this makes their share price more sticky.
(Disclosure - POW.L is my biggest holding by a long way)
The recent RNS issues regarding drilling proceeding to plan and business financial status now make sense.
They must have been part of the discussion for this option to confirm what POW was saying about themselves was true.
Great sounding option and hopefully it leads to a 10th project in the POW portfolio.
Off to read up more on the mining and geology of this area of Australia :-)
Bit of a strange RNS as it doesn't say anything other than things are progressing well with drilling.
Maybe there have been approaches from other companies looking to buy out the JV and this is just a "hurry up then before we finish drilling" signal?
The description of the interesting geological target seen is "arched". This is a 2 dimensional description. It would be interesting to hear a 3 dimensional description - are we dealing with an anticline or a dome?
The answer might have a significant affect on the economics (much cheaper to mine if an anticline as depth remains relatively constant but with a dome the mine may need to go much deeper to stay with any mineralisation).
