I read rising inflation is what's causing the drop. The theory is, with cost of living going up, people will have less to spend on luxuries, holidays etc. That's perhaps true to some extent, however the average cruise ship holidaymaker is, let's say, more financially well off than your average Butlins holidaymaker! It'll take more than rising food and energy prices to deter your average luxury cruise ship holidaymaker. Carnival is top end, luxury travel, luxury holidays - the vast majority of passengers are financially well off and will be unfazed and undeterred by rising inflation. In short, buy the dips. 2022 will be a strong year for Carnival.
