Nolupus - Hopefully we will get a TR1 this week and we can stop this debate, i'd like to see the back of Lansdowne personally regardless of what they may or may not have done for SNG in the past.

Nolupus - Why would a fund manager have the ability to do better research than a PI? They are not privy to more information than a PI, that would be insider trading. They know the markets well so understand share price movements, they get called upon for funding rounds so get lucrative entry points.

But to suggest they understand the drug the company and the market better than some Pi’s is a falsehood.

They are managing a portfolio of shares so do not have time to dedicate to a small subset.

In the current volatile market it is easy for PI to outperform a fund manager as we can be more nimble with our portfolios.

A fund cannot simply just pull its holding, case an point Lansdowne here they’ve been at it for a month now.

Dave - I don’t think they have stopped issuing timely TR-1’s the rate did drop off for a while and has picked up again the last two trading days.

DubleD - I appreciate that and I will be ****ed off for myself and others if the share price is not back in the 70's prior to news. The risk/reward should not drop the closer you get to news especially given the tight lips involved in a double blind trial and the volume of good press this share and interferon beta has been getting.

But we are where we are due to factors outside of our control.

Catch it early nebulise straight to the source aka lungs 8% of the market could be won outside of the hospital setting.

More serious cases may require hospitalisation and a combination of drugs which are likely to be all IV suitable and hence you might switch to IV as a preferred method for serious later stage infections for other benefits.

Once in recovery you discharge them with nebulised interferon to assist recovery at home and perhaps a repeat prescription to keep on top of lasting damage.

medRxiv is a medical archive that publishes preprints of medical research before peer review.

SNG's nebulized treatment should have higher efficacy than injected treatments.

Conclusion was this:

The 28-day overall mortality was significantly lower in the IFN then the control group (19% vs. 43.6% respectively)

.....significantly increased discharge rate on day 14 and decreased 28-day mortality

Bottom line - IFN works for significantly improved outcomes.

Playing devils advocate here but the more people that believe in charting the more it is self fulfilling.

I believe there is a psychological aspect to trading and charts play a part in that.

If the chart says there will be a bounce of a support line you are likely to get a lot of Chartists buying in at that moment and the prediction is self fulfilled.

GOOSE, notnow - The speed at which this has all be achieved is phenomenal. I don’t think people give the company enough credit as to what they have achieved in such a short space of time. Under normal circumstances you would be talking years to get to the point of these trial readouts.

Right place right time but also a company with the conviction to grab the bull by the horns.

Sonnets - The at home trial format is new and novel it took time design and waiting for the authorities to approve it would have delayed the hospital trials from starting.

Also to be able to dose high risk patients at home we had to prove safety of the drug in patients with covid.

At home also relies on access to a fast infection test to catch cases early.

So all the above is why at home has taken time to get started.

If you can bare to look back through my posts I linked a report from the company about the phase 3trial they where launching which will have a placebo arm.

I have suspicions that Dr Fish is somehow linked as they are both Canadian based.

Itshenderz- Did you see the discussions here a while back about the trial of inhaled IFN - alpha2beta perhaps that’s the drug that’s referenced in that document.

It had a good result in phase 2 clinical trial albeit not against a placebo if I remember correctly. Google betterlifepharma.
