Mani - Yes the clear message is the business has funds to see through another 12months of trading.

It also has funds to be able to explore avenues for its clinical development programme (aka attend conferences, pay for advertisement or referrals etc.)

Mani - If SNG have made zero progress the last thing SNG wants and needs to do now is to release a statement saying no dosing this winter.

That would crucify the share and make their lives even more difficult.

They should instead be beavering away exploring all options and finding a route forward for shareholders. Which you can guarantee they are doing.

Mani - Prior to covid how did SNG survive, they clearly managed to raise funds etc to carry out their activities.

SNG won’t struggle to find cash but right now they are not looking for solely cash. They are looking for the lever that opens the door for approval.

That takes time and willing from both sides. The current climate it stodgy decisions are not being made quickly honestly North American markets might be a better location than AIM for SNG even.

Wouldn’t rule anything out.

I’ll departing this investment by the end of the month.

But if it went to Nasdaq I’d be front of the funding line.

Doc83 - But that’s not the efficient way of buying SNG. You wouldn’t offer the general market what you would offer TFG. Their relative holding has seen to that.

You give TFG what they want and you turn the thumbscrews to get the rest.

But importantly you give TFG what they want after the date that would oblige you to offer above odds for the rest.

Hi Doc - BP could not have made a move without triggering an association clause. To accumulate over 30% they would have to take TFG out and would be considered to be working in tandem with them hence are pegged to their timeline.

Things become more fluid in the weeks ahead so it is of interest to me how the end of February plays out.

I’m not recovering a loss here having sold my initial stake on the very first spike. The journey for me is coming to an end, there are some charitable causes that could put what I have invested here to good use.

But hey January is nearly over and we are exactly where we expected to be based on the boards comments.

A move from AIM to another market is not out of the question might be a better environment to raise the funds necessary to push this to approval.

Spacman- Unfortunately you are preaching to the blinkered I wouldn’t waste your words.

Many here couldn’t contemplate SNG moving to a US market or into an arrangement that accesses funding required.

The board owes the PI nothing. They will find the cash they need to execute their plan if the PI looses out in the process so be it.

Many pharma companies last year did similar jumps when their luck ran out on aim.

Tommy and others - Whilst I agree the shell of SNG could run at a very low cash burn, I fully expect any trial announcement to come hand in hand with an execution strategy of how they will commercialise this product.

It has always been more than just securing trial.

I’m undecided ref job advert.

The elephant in the room for me is our cash runway does not support a trial funded or unfunded.

We are not only negotiating for a space on a trial but also support to see it through for the next 12-18months.

This is in my opinion why it is taking time.

We are in this position because a raise on the open market at these levels is not tenable too much dilution would occur.

Disappointing that there is still no concrete plan on the route ahead but this does not surprise me and I have faith that this is not for lack of trying on the companies part.

I remain convinced that actions or lack of action in February will be very telling about the game plan of key players here.

If February comes and goes I will re-consider my options here.

I think you need to understand that the world is moving on and learning to live with covid.

60,000 deaths may seem like a lot but having just flown back from Shanghai you wouldn’t really notice any difference on the ground compared to the U.K., Europe or USA.

Covid will always exist just like the flu so a treatment for it will be very welcome and profitable but it is no longer the major focus of pharma co investment. This picture has been emerging for the last 6months, which is rotten luck for SNG.

Size82- I’d be completely guessing.

What is clear to me is that whilst Covid is still a thing the actual issue for health services is not just a covid it’s the whole plethora of respiratory illnesses that crop up seasonally.

That’s what the NHS is struggling with.

The right trial is the trial that will get us approval we have to trust the board to make the right call on that.

A government funded trial like Strive would have been great if it started in august and we where rolled out quickly. But the delay and inertia in the system takes some of the appeal away. Do you really want to be launching on strive in Feb just as peak covid fades and get stuck with a half filled trial cohort which may get canned by next Christmas?

Remember the Jansen study is not blinded it’s just an observational study with no drug product.

Ergo some data from the trial will already be available for analysis depending on the run rate and if you take at face value the headlines about pressure on the NHS it’s likely they are gathering data at some rate.

I think we are heading towards a JV funded bespoke trial I don’t think there is a government vehicle out there that is a safe bet.

AJ316 - I expect the complexity of the next trial will be because it will not focus on one infection, rather a wide range.

I won’t be popular for saying this but it is not out of the question that the results of the Jansen study are required to design the correct trial.

Previously and my posting history will show this I commented that my company would fly less post pandemic.

Whilst we have localised many of our activities we are now seeing increased demand for long haul travel especially over the past 6months.

Our policy has always been to fly prem econ not business on long haul but the price of the these seats is easily double what we used to pay. Costs are passed onto our customers.

In short by the end of the year we will be back at pre pandemic levels of travel. But probably paying twice what we previously paid.

It will take time but IAG should do well long term.

Mani - I think you are pining too much on the Winter comment.

If a JV is signed in the grand scheme of things it matters not if we trial this winter or next.

Clearly this winter is preferable.

Doc - Flip the question and ponder the answers. Why would you JV with SNG now?

As the JV partner what difference does Jan make compared to Feb compared to March etc etc.

I’m not saying I have these answers but remember for a JV to work both parties have to find common ground.
