And more importantly, not using the 5% helps the company expand quicker. We can either use the 5% and wait for the profit, to then use to dig our other locations, which would take years OR you get financing on future guaranteed earnings (which then pays for itself) Meanwhile, you have the 5% to improve the company portfolio and hit more targets. Its clear by taking the finance route, GH and CB are wanting to make a real go of this company. This is their legacy that will go on a CV that will keep them employed for the rest of their lives. (If they wanted to keep working that is) I am very happy with the plans that seem to be in GH's head. He's happy to stay at Greatland for a good while yet.

GH has already said that they aren't planning on using the 5% for the mining if they go in that direction. They are going to finance it. What better way than an interest-free loan from Newcrest themselves?

34m???? We wouldn’t be hanging around 12p if it was worth that little. Close to 500m maybe by hannam and numis. That’s fine, we could use that 5% to fund the mining, but we could also keep that extra 5% if we wanted to. We could use it to drill our other targets. What I was getting at, was that it would be stupid to do anything else in terms of finance if a deal like this is available. Don’t see why Newcrest would say no to that.

Guys, the reason I posted the original rns I found on ASX was because there was talk earlier in the year about us finding the cash to mine our 25/30% of what’s left after the deal is concluded. Venus have decided to take an interest free loan from Rox to pay for their side of the mining process. This is something, I think, IMO, DYOR etc ... that greatland could negotiate with Newcrest no? That way we have zero expenditure, no interest on a loan or have to dilute through shares. This to me seems perfect. They dig and mine and we pay them after it comes out.

What I got from that RNS was that instead of Venus finding the cash through dilution or loans with interest, they merely take an interest free “loan” from Newcrest. They then take the amount owed out of the profits. I think this is genius.

I posted something similar yesterday , much more eloquently, and sadly it got deleted with all the crap.

Picture the scenario (patience required) - During the two years that it takes Newcrest to move the high-grade stuff, we use our cut of it to build a low grade ore processing plant at Havieron. We deal with the low grade stuff, they take the high grade stuff. I mean, Scallywag bound to have low grade too. Then, we can also rent the plant out to the other new explorers/miners in the area!! (all for a cut obviously)

II is strange. The app doesn't seem to like three decimal places or even small cap shares. If you want to look at those best to do it through the website itself, especially buying and selling small companies in the pennies. Ticker AZY, should be there. I have a few of those and a few of ROCK. (I liked their strike lengths)

Yeah, it's only worth doing the ASX through II if you're gonna leave it relatively long term so you don't lose out whilst waiting to sell again. Antipa are another in the Patterson that already have two JV's in place (Rio & Newcrest) and no drilling yet either really by their BIg Boy partners. Check them out also. Might take them a while, but seem more professional than Artemis.

I use Interactive Investor, but it;s 9.99 a month plus a 19.99 fee for ASX trades regardless of quantity/value. Be careful with Artemis Resources guys, was in there a while. It WAS and might still be a luxury CEO company playing or nearology. If they drill, then who knows, but they are not known for progressing tenements or doing the work.

I think people on here previously gave the best answers to this. It's not necessarily about having a figure in your head, I mean, if you have a goal and reach the amount you need for that goal, then by all means set a target and stick to it. But I think the future is more about keeping on top of what the company is doing and what path it decides to take. Base your buy/hold/sell/on that, rather than the share price. This was all said by far more knowledgeable people on here than me. I thought it was spot on in most walks of life. Adapt or die!

I don't know about you guys, but when I was a kid I knew straight away I had a small gambling bug :-) From the age of about & probably with marbles and football stickers to name a few. If I could get my hands on a share trading app that was free and I could spend as little as possible, I would experiment like crazy and have a proper go, even starting from a £%5 and see how far I would go. That was the reason I wasn't investing in shares when I was younger and would play poker or football bets instead. Everywhere I looked there was a minimal spend etc...Let them enjoy it, I would have done and I don't begrudge them doing it either. We all have to start somewhere,

Ok, so I've read it a couple of times and I think I get this. Their wording leaves a lot to be desired. They currently base their 5.5moz from the 14Mt crescent zone only. With the potential for another 8Mt extension to the crescent zone and the 50Mt brecchia not included in their valuations (These extensions are currentlypretty much guaranteed I reckon going on drill results). That's a lot of short-term space for improvement and they are still drilling :-)

But there is mention of both the crescent and the brecchia in their report. They attribute 8Mt to the crescent and 50Mt to the brecchia. Are we saying that the 5.5moz is only for the 14Mt crescent zone? And without the possible 8Mt extension or the 50Mt brecchia?

Anyone fancy using those ore amounts with a conservative gold grade to get some numbers?
