@jkeith.webster would be nice to get back into the .20's. I'm a LTH for more than 7 years and sold a lot of my shares at the wrong time a few years back, but I also profited in the last big rise in 2020. This share enabled me to buy my house, and if (when) it reaches .50 I will probably make a full exit and retire.
Gazza. It's not relevant.
Always love a bit of sarcasm. Nice one Avo.
£1.7bn MC. Really Nettles? Please share your workings.
Thanks Beardozer. Actually I got lucky with Solg before GGP and looked for more similar opportunities. Greatland was one of those I invested some of my Solg profits into. I held for 4 year before it paid off big time.
I checked and this was my first GGP buy - I bought loads more over the next year or so.
Investment name Greatland Gold Plc
Deal date and time 19 September 2016 at 11:28:39
Transaction date and time 20 September 2016 at 08:18:58
Amount invested £3,931.18
Share/Unit price £0.0020
Number of shares/units purchased 1,995,525.0000
At the time of this trade GGP had 2,245,201,748 shares in issue so market cap was £4,490,403,
ORR has 2.72BN shares in issue and a mcap of £4.08M so they really are on the same page.
IMO, ORR could present as good as or better potential than GGP - as always DYOR and GLTA.
Not sure what happened there. That should say 'current price'. I think peeps worked it out. It's a steal buy if you can as much as you can. I have.
I first bought into GGP in 2017 at around the same price this is now. GGP bought me a villa in Spain and I always wished I'd bought more. I've got 20X ORR than I had GGP bought at a much higher average price than the current. IMO at the cure pricthis is an opportunity not to be missed.
2m still tucked away - held since 2017 , had 9m at one point. Sold 1.5m for what would now be chips but was still more than 10x at the time. Rest sol at various stages from 10p to 40p.
Bamble. I first bought around that time too. Had around 10m at one point between mine and Mrs SIPPS and ISA's. Couple of years ago needed cash and sold 1.5m for a relative pittance. Sold all but 1m in the last big rise, but now own a villa in Marbella thanks to GGP.
Topped up last week and again yesterday.
Ivans, these aren't bad.
For open pit mining
Low grade is 0 - 0.5 gold grams per tonne
Average grade is 0.5 - 1.5 gold grams per tonne
High grade 1.5 + gold grams per tonne
For underground mining the grades are a lot higher due to the much higher extraction costs
£18m market cap when this resource alone is looking likely yo be worth potentially billions

Love that term 'nuggety'.
....
Europa - re GGP - I think so. I've pulled a bit out myself and put it in here. £100k for now. Probably should have done more but lets see
Topped up this morning
@europaboy 100% agree. As a long term holder of GGP and prior to that SOLG, you recognise a pattern. In the next 6 to 12 months GPP price is unlikely to double, whereas I could see this doing so in 6 to 12 weeks. If the news flow is good I think we could see 5 to 10p in 6 to 12 months. GGP no way has that sort of upside. GLA. DYOR.
I'm really pleased with the way my pension investments have performed since I took control with a SIPP around 5 years ago. Especially GGP. Only regret I have is not mirroring all my SIPP investments in my ISA. I wouldn't have to work anymore. Now I have very nice pension pot already over the LTA but I don't reach retirement age for another 13 years.
