Looking at the last report for SOI which was the other fund I was considering too and which you mentioned, its earning didnt cover its dividend payments but the yield figures are fine!
"Total dividends declared in respect of the year amount to £27,832,000, which is £1,295,000 more than the £26,537,000
revenue profit after taxation, available for distribution. Accordingly, the Company would be required to draw on £1,295,000 of brought forward revenue reserves. However in accordance with accounting standards, the fourth interim dividend amounting to £12,432,000 will not be accounted for until it is has been paid."
More evidence that cash is a more important metric than meaning less yield metrics.
Again Im not concerned by this as hopefully its a blip, that also increased the dividend too!
