The reason it has gone up is because Simon Thompson in the IC has given it a write up today.
Thanks uhif
Who is the message from? I would very much like to attend if at all possible so would contact the person who sent the invites.
UHIF...I see you make reference to MR in your latest missive. He has been off work for a month with pneumonia and COVID so my take is that he had nothing to do with the RNS. They did it in his absence. I am sure he would have written it in much better English and clearer had he been involved! I am giving him the benefit of the doubt...and sincerely hope I am correct as the RNS was very poor and not clear at all. If DL did it, as I suspect, it is very clear English is his second language. I also find his accent very strong and difficult to understand. However he seems to be an IT genius. In any organisation you have to use the appropriate skills for the appropriate purpose.
uhip, I understand where you are coming from but I think you are a bit harsh to call it a U turn! They were going to adapt in light of the chip shortage. Sounds reasonable to me. Then, in light of talking/listening to customers they decided between them that they would prefer to stick with the original plan, and maybe the chip issue is easing, allowing progress to happen as originally planned. Being flexible/adaptable/ to all the various issues shows flexibility and a willingness to listen, which is good in my book!
It is clear to me that English is DLs second language. He also has an extremely strong accent when he speaks English, so much so I find it very difficult to understand what he is saying. In the 1 st case he needs someone with excellent English to interpret exactly what he is trying to say. In this RNS I find it confusing. I would have thought MR could have helped in this regard. In relation to the 2 nd issue he should get someone with a much less strong accent to do the public speaking. Again MR may well be better than DL. Why no use your staff appropriately. In my own life experience I had a PR lady who was brilliant with words and she wrote my speeches as well. Again, I used the skills of my staff.and that reflected positively on both myself and the organisation
The latest Calnex comments would seem to contradict this view. Martin Fitton has shared an interview he has had with the Calnex CEO and the SP has responded positively as a result. Check it out on the CLX connection
On Stockopedia a contributor has pointed out that Comapi closure was announced in 2019, but it is still going strong and generates £2.5m. If you take that out of the figures growth is 10.3% rather than 23%. I do not understand all this but certainly feel it needs explanation.Could this be a factor in the SP this morning?
message to TL; masc and Dallo. I have very much appreciated all your input over the last 12 months and I would like to say thank you for all your input. If we achieve what we all hope to achieve I am looking forward to going over to Dublin to share the celebration with you all. It is a long time since I was at TCD...for a year before they threw me out...but what a year it was! Alternatively we could meet in warmer climes when TL can sail into port in his/her new boat. I sincerely hope you will all make further contributions as the story continues to unfold. Thanks again and my best wishes to you all.
The Sunday Times tells us that BT will announce that in their interims on Thursday, analysts will be watching the pace of plans to roll out full fibre broadband to 25m premises. When I read that "It's clear we've completely re-written the script on fixed wireless with G1" (VP Sales Tarana), one wonders where BT are missing the opportunity. The BT Research guy was part of the panel at the recent Tarana conference so someone within BT knows the answer! The issue is whether the senior management know and understand the opportunity!
I am going to propose an optimistic take on the placing...I am a glass half full person. At the AGM statement they said they had enough money to see them through. Maybe...just maybe ...the orders from the big boys are more than they anticipated and they need the money to meet that demand. I would also say the latest update summary is excellent and page 3 sums it up superbly to my simple mind! I would appreciate feedback from Dallo and TL on my take! I am fully invested since partaking on the 12p placing and warrants exercise and will not be chasing any more. I am also encouraged that David Levi is again putting his hand in his pocket for more to maintain his 14%
I thought I would share with you how I found ENET. It had put out a marketing video demonstrating its benefits over any alternative. It is all very well making claims as to benefits but the reality is sometimes different. In this case they used Spirent who is the leading measurement company on 5G in the world, and all the big boys use its expertise. In that regard Spirent use technology from a little company in Scotland called Calnex to carry out these assessments. In effect both companies support the claims made by ENET. That really impressed me. Then reading David Levi's background and his experiences with his previous company showed he had learnt some hard lessons from that. I then prepared a summary on what I understood the company was doing and sent it to Brian K, the marketing director, for his comment. He replied within 2 days and corrected my misunderstandings. Brilliant. And finally, I then discovered Traceylied and Dallo, so here I am. On tenterhooks waiting for the RNS contracts. I, and all my children are now part of the bandwagon!
sergi On the 16/04/21 I have noted that the Tarana products were being used in Aus/NZ by Horizon; MTN will use the Tarana units in Africa with SA first under the "Supersonic" label.
Interesting to see that MTN is the key sponsor on the South African Rugby shirt. And guess who supplies MTN with their key ingredient...ENET! Can't be bad for our prospects. Just a pity about the result today.
I am sorry to say I find David's accent so strong that I find it impossible to comprehend his presentation. Not sure what the answer is but quite honestly the written word would be fine for me.
The legislation to extradite Lynch was created to export terrorists who were wanted by the US. Te thought that Lynch could be extradited under this banner is appalling imo. HP did their due diligence on the company and bought it...their problem. I have seen several friends screwed by US courts when they did business with them. All US courts will support the local player.
On a separate tack completely the UK Buffetology Fund has taken a position in DARK and on thta basis I have also bought in.
In BKs newsletter he states that the past few months brought a new patent. I presume that is referring to the RNS 30/03/21 addressing the inclement weather solution. Next is the important new deal. I presume he is referring to the 06/04/21 with Tarana and the follow up RNS on 25/05/21. Then comes the new wireless backhaul solution and the imminent $930k UEP-60 contract. Am I right in thinking that is what he is referrring to. He then mentions the significant recognition for 5G...is that the reference to the 9th Feb RNS telling us that the ACE-NIC 100 has been supplied to major vendors and the router on the FPGA NIC is a unique offering?
While they issued an RNS telling us they were in for the GLOBO awards they did not give us any feedback on why they might not have won it, losing out to Broadforward. What could have been more valuable than the router on DU concept?!
And thank you Sergi for an excellent overview. It all helps my understanding of the company and where it sits.
TL...I appreciate where you are coming from and already appreciate your considerable input. I now wait patiently. Best Wishes
TL...you mention @1247 that you are aware of several "catalysts" in the pipeline. Are you able to share them with us or will we have to be patient and wait for a formal announcement? My immediate concern is Gaza blowing up again.
nothing in that which we do not know already!
