Thanks for another great post. I hope you are accurate with your prediction - it does sound very plausible. However, if we were 9/10 months into this process how easy would it be for all parties to keep this type of transaction secret?

An article in today's Time describes an NHS trial on over 6000 patients using arthritis drugs to see if existing medicines can be repurposed. Researchers hope tocilizumab, tocilizumab and remdesivir can be used to calm so-called cytokine storm that often contributes to Corvid deaths.

The article does mention that : “Four other drugs are currently in trials and Professor De Bono said ultimately targeted therapies would be used instead of hormone blocking treatment”. Here’s hoping that maybe SRA737 is one of the four?! Thanks

Hi, Correct me if I’m not correct but I thought that last week SRRA cited Prof Johann De Bono as their lead presenter at the annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology in Chicago. Thanks

Sorry this it is a paid link but the article references the American Society of Clinical Oncology conference in Chicago:

“Our study is exciting because it shows just how powerful genetic targeting and precision medicine can be,” said Professor Johann De Bono of the Institute of Cancer Research in London, who led the research. “I’m confident that the trials will show that it will improve survival. We were delighted to see such strong responses in men with very advanced cancers . . . The next phase of the trials is now under way and, if the results look as good as we hope, we should see olaparib starting to reach the clinic for men with prostate cancer in the next couple of years.”

No mention of SAR but also no mention of SRRA.

Perhaps SAR don’t care to much for Aurora anymore, as Tim et al know that in the very near future they can all sit back, relax and put their feet up! ??

Please, can anybody explain why we should get so excited about Sierra's abstract on the SRA737 preclinical activity being accepted for the AACR 2018 Annual Meeting - Is this a defining moment? What happens at the meeting and thereafter? Thank you in advance.
