Just on debt, I recall VOD buying back kerzillion shares over the last two years which weren't cancelled, as I recall, sketchy here on memory, but my reading of the purpose was to cover bonds which could be redeemed with shares. They'd have been better off keeping the cash as they were buying back at £1+ however, is that factored into current debt calcs? Also, they don't pay divi on the treasury shares.... I think RR is significant but I'm not going to be looking for a chair if the music stops, a small loss for me. Paul, that's the key issue. There is little point in adding in the high GOR reservoir if they don't have gas export/GTW in place beforehand. I can see them drilling a well and then sitting on it while they work out how to handle the gas. I'm shocked that they don't have an integrated plan to sell gas or power, even uneconomic at current volumes, so they can raise production rates on W1 / deal with added production from "pending" wells. It's being operated like chicken night in Turkey. They will almost certainly need compression/process to sell gas, are there any Wobbe Index / calVal issues, what about inerts, trace components..... if that's all an issue set up gas to wire before starting drilling. I agree with you that there is enormous upside potential in Wressle but the inertia of the operator is highly discouraging and a surprise given that Heyco now call the shots. It's not enough for Will to seem frustrated - kick ass. I'll probably sell in the first window of mild profit after AGM. I think Eire is a very long shot now though I'd love to be proven wrong.

It appears you guy's don't do enough research. The going rate for Gallium is currently $600 PER Kilogram, or $600,000 a ton. When you add in Zn at $2500 a ton and Pb at $1600/ton [it doesn't like tonne...] and possibly some silver you can work out that this is a potentially super-valuable resource. I'm rather excited by this Reece Ridge prospect. All those values are for refined product, however, the USA is one of the main Ga refiners, with a shortage of home feedstock.... I think it will take a while for the market to awake to the significance of this RNS. GLA

I've already voted my shares [through IG] in line with Paul's plan. I had no issue with the company accumulating revenues from Wressle to invest into the company but the level of remuneration increase is simply unacceptable. I've pointed out that as they have "awarded" themselves £800K in take-aways it would only be reasonable to give the owners [shareholders] an equivalent take. I've suggested a 0.1p/share divi as the £960K it would cost is broadly equivalent to what they have donated to our employees. I'd suggest that a near 10% dividend might do a power of good to our SP.

Looks like GEM management have pretty clean hands in this bribery case:

The charge states the pair allegedly sought a bribe to ensure "legislation would pass in the Madagascan parliament to allow Gemfields to commence a mining operation".

Prosecutors said at a hearing last month that Gemfields had approached Britain's National Crime Agency (NCA), which deployed an undercover officer who met with Andrianarisoa and Tabuteau in London.

Press report from today, just hoping the SP does move forward soon. Very undervalued for the yield. GLA

Very unlikely that the same wellsite could be used, the well is a block of cement now and any land ownership was probably rental, we are going back to the 1980's here. I've had a peek at ANGS and a 6MMSCF/d well here would correlate with their earnings, which makes Cloughton extremely interesting. TROVE also believe that this is an extension of a near-shore mega-structure. It would be nice to see some prompt progress here, for a change.....

"United Kingdom: Offshore Licence P2478 - Reabold Resources (Licence Administrator) 36%; Baron 32%; Upland Resources 32%

All Phase A technical studies, with Baron's involvement, were completed earlier this year on the P2478 licence situated in the Inner Moray Firth. The CPR delivered by the RPS Group in February was, similarly, a significant milestone, confirming the Dunrobin West prospect as a large, shallow, simple structure where an exploration well could target an aggregate of 119 MMboe gross unrisked Pmean Prospective Resources: this includes the estimated 71 MMbbl gross Pmean Prospective Resource at a geological Probability of Success of 34% for the primary Jurassic target.

As the current phase of the licence draws to a close the Joint Venture is actively engaged with the North Sea Transition Authority ("NSTA") with a view to extending Phase A of the Licence. Feedback received from potential funding partners encountered during the Joint Venture farmout campaign has been helpful, as we weigh up the various options going forward. One option might include completion of the 3D seismic coverage of Dunrobin West employing data acquisition techniques that maximise the chances of directly characterising the fluid content of the reservoir and hence even further reduce pre-drill risk and volumetric uncertainty."

2.55p /share is the direct read across for Wressle alone. I know EDR has acreage too but most of it is low CoS /Blue sky. EOG has a additional production at circa 80 BBl/d. I don't put much value on Serenity unless it gets unitised with Tain but it has been in effect, free. Eire is huge, if that comes off via farm-in I'd put 3-6p per share on EOG. EOG is so undervalued it's astonishing. All the best Dai.

OK. So, I'm holding at 96.5p and looking primarily for regular div. I have every sympathy for all of you >£1.20, I was nearly there myself many moons ago, but, you'll all have done OK if you subtract div received [past] from current SP I'd have thought. I had an average down buy set for 88p but it hasn't arisen since ISA top-up date. Prior, I took a few hundred at 83p and change to lower my average. Yes, it's a pain to see VOD sitting at loss in my portfolio but it will be neutral-ish post divi if it holds. I can't see significant downside below 80p, effectively VOD is valued at zero in that region so why are big-boys buying in earnest to % levels? I can see a bid but I'd rather not have c.£1.30 NPV versus 8% pa ROR. I've got some dry powder so for this reason Mikey's intel sounds good. As far as I can see, it's a low risk, but I'll be averaging down/accumulating for the foreseeable. I just can't see VOD going to zero. Best of luck all.... Geo
