Released earlier today, overall not a bad set of numbers in the current economic climate. revenues increased by 14% to £17mns or so, with recurring maintenance profits rising 59% ; adjusted ops profit up 28% to £4mns, pre tax coming in at 28% to £3.8mns; eps up at 205 to 2.49p. Management buyout talks still continuing. Some would suggest caution is the by-word here until offer talks are announced to be advanced, but judging by the numbers today, this Co appears to be holding its own in a very tough environment.

Has been caught out by the demise in the construction industry. Has breached its loan covenants. Emergency short term funding arranged. And being at the top end of the property food chain, is being starved of new well healed enquirers, a little ray is that cancelations are not running as high as the Co had expected. With its land bank and Council led contracts in place, there is no reason why OKD should not recover recent lost ground.

With several offers for the Co having been mooted, this stock is well undervalued on prospects.

Throw up the fact that DOO has delivered its first 1k tonnes of crude vegi oil derived from the Jatropha seed. With £22Mns in cash going forward, it has sufficient working capital until end 2009. This is an encouraging progressive development with 300k hectares under management. BP continues to be supportive of the joint venture, both are well placed to deliver up a product that a global biofuels market increasingly in favour of bio fuels that are sustainable and competetive. A very much longer term investment here, the market has not yet appreciated the cost savings this Co will make as more of its oil comes on tap.

Fall overdone early session, will catch up with main market fairly soon. A typical dcb situation to an overreaction to unsusual market forces...

Has been issued which suggests that IGE has been ignored to the point that the Co believes that its offerings should attract "city" interest. A report by the Board today suggests that turnover is expected to increase by some 30%; and that cash reserves stand at £1.5Mns; The new sales and marketing is effectively improving both enquiries and enquiry responce time; security sales have increased strongly. With only 56mns isc this Co has the potential to increase shareholder value as it stands.

30th June : Turnover increases 172% to £23.7Mns; Adjusted net profit increases 321% to £3.2Mns; Pre Tax increases 237% to 32.8Mns earnings came in at .08p/share. This change in fortunes and management structure puts MDX in a very strong market position going forward.
