Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
This was precisely my point when I wrote about reperforming the PI 'share count' exercise recently. What happens when a resolution is put forward that we fundamentally disagree with (one that favours IIs but perhaps not PIs).
There would be no possibility to mobilise the vote effectively in a short timeframe. I don't want to be cynical with GGP but I've been down that road before on AIM shares.
Before I get accused of lack of faith/trust or having some other motive, I do believe in the company and thats why I want to assure my interests are looked after in the company.
Hi SpadesAspade,
I also agree it's fantastic and GGP is definitely for me. The point in redoing the exercise is (in my opinion) to check the PI holdings 'reach' of this forum so that in the event a takeover offer were to come we would know roughly our strength in numbers to withstand it (assuming a a relatively lowball offer not of interest to PIs).
Regarding jealousy..getting shot down by others on BB etc for sharing such info I think people are getting shot down for much less here and most people participated in the survey without complaint last time.
Anyway...just a suggestion and not offering to collate the input but I guess there's a database somewhere where interested people could update their holdings without much effort
I'll ignore commenting on the BB bickering of late, other cool heads have covered it well this morning. 'nuff said'.
I don't want to set the hares running on conspiracy theories but it's at least true we are increasingly vulnerable as a takeover target with decline of SP of late.
I'd be interested to know where the PI holdings are at as best we can calculate them from trusted posters here and on other forums. Our interests are not necessarily aligned with our II partners and it's always good to know our relative weight/strength to withstand any move we don't like..
I can't recall who ran the first exercise but if that person is happy to repeat the data gathering I'd appreciate it and think others would also.
Best,
Geckos

Haven't posted in ages on LSE so welcome back ( to me :) ). If it's true that 70% of GGP holders are PIs (I do remember the data collection from this board but not the conclusion reached). then you would expect on paper GGP short action is partially a function of low II ownership, PI majority holding seen as less sticky and more prone to manipulation by market movements whether organic or by design. We are all just human after all (aside from the bots lol) and depending on our circumstances have probably sold out prematurely from equities several times in our pasts based on smoke signals and sentiment only to kick ourselves that we didn't keep faith with fundamentals. Sentiment important for SP sure but fundamentals are the foundation for value growth over time..sentiment eventually follows. Soo...hold tight, big things like ahead (in my opinion only of course)
Trading does resume as normal on Monday but interestingly halt called until Tues April 12th:
"Cobre Limited (ASX: CBE) (Cobre or the Company) seeks, in accordance with ASX Listing Rule
17.1 and at the request of the ASX, a trading halt in its securities from the ASX effective immediately pending the release of an announcement with respect to an update on the Company’s exploration program in Botswana and a response by the Company to a price and volume query from the ASX."
So announcement Mon maybe then some daylight between that and trading resumption to keep ASX happy...
Seems some may have had prior insight into the news that's coming. All IMO.
Looking forward to next week :)
Volume 3.2M and rising (average daily volume 148k). Something going on.
39% now!!
CBE up 20% on ASX currently but no announcements. I thought maybe the assay results were in and really positive but can't see any news reported. It's been pretty stable on mixed (tiny-low) volume (0-10% movement typically) for months. Wonder what gives
*coordinating action
JTD, my comment about IIs was more in the realm of 'why aren't you coordinating acting at Board Level to prevent complete SP destruction'.
There is plenty they can and SHOULD be doing.
Just staggering. Where are the IIs in all this..?
I halved my holding yesterday EasyP with similar reasoning (though I ploughed some of the proceeds into GGP to increase exposure there, developments to come soon..). Still holding a good position on MTR with some direct exposure on Cobre also. Fully intend to rotate back into MTR and build position again over time). GLA

Much appreciated Illaquens!
Precisely notrader, and we still have a reasonable amount of time on our side for release of MRE2 and negotiations to follow (and of course possible gold breakout to factor in to boot). NCM are a producer at scale and this is not their first rodeo. I believe of course if they had a sniff to SD would accept a buyout offer pre-MRE2 release then the gamesmanship being speculated about here would make sense. But that NOT bring the case any delays won't favour them much tbh and could in fact prove costlier if gold breakout happens in near future.
