IMO a 'No deal' is going to hit the people of the UK hard, but investment-wise, the money printing machine and infrastructure spending will be in full force, so IMO a good time to invest in solid companies, like Tesco.
EU = 60% of British Trade.
Average of 10% tariff on EU trade = 6% value of all UK trade so economy will roughly go down by 6%, supermarket prices will of course rocket by anything up to 50% as the tariffs get passed along the chain, each link, companies try to keep their percentage and earnings the same. The 2008-2010 period hit the economy much less but still caused a huge escalation of prices.
Also..."The highest 1% of income taxpayers account for 27% of all income tax" in the UK.
Boris has already stated "F....k Business' but made sure his Fox Hunting pals were not effected by the lockdown.

This government has always aimed for a No Deal, the complication was how to make sure he could blame the EU.

As an example. Jonathan Harmsworth still exerts his influence telling his readers how evil the EU is, so that VAT will stay out of printing and he'll keep his tax-avoidance status spending 6 months in France a year. Yes these principles could be opted out of as the UK always had power and sovereignty over any EU rules, but being the only fish swimming the other way in the largest market is not good for business or relations.
Consider Harmsworth's position.. Why would you have a newspaper like the Daily mail and preach remain knowing it could deplete your own fortune by 100s of millions ?

IMO It's obvious that Boris only wants to take care of the rich, as they pay most of the tax, but voting-wise all he has to do he pander to the odd policy switch due to Marcus Rashford tweets or saying whatever he thinks the public want to hear.

Take a look at the Steel Prices, Coal Prices and Iron Ore prices and consider that the EVR share price peaked at 700p on lower levels.

I held my finger over the top-slice sell button yesterday at 457p..
IMO only the smaller interval charts showed sell signals and all hours, days and weekly charts suggest hold or even buy.
EVR is likely going to have a violent ride to higher highs but only, as before, the company dish out a dividend level to match when the profits from these high commodity prices rolls in.

Rambler have thrown their shareholders under a bus. The fundraising has been absolutely shocking to sell so many at such paltry prices when everyone knew the copper price was going to finally rise above their production costs..
Poor company management will see history repeat with the addition of a 100 to 1 consolidation. The copper prices will spike up the SP allowing the PI herd to make some profit but make sure not to hold these shares for longer than the copper price highs in the coming couple of years, anything above 0.5p could be ripe for profit taking and 1p a definite sell IMO.

Tesco have avoided the headlines and wide public disapproval of paying a vast 50p dividend after accepting public money. It's also conceivable a public hearing would have been made that would also serve as bad press. The law and details may well be on Tesco's side to keep the grant, but the mainstream view will only see one thing, a vast payout to shareholders built from government aid. Tesco's have pre-empted the scandal by declaring this now before the Asian sale dividend is scheduled.

Exactly dadean, taken care of by the Asian sale and they figured the headline grabber that will bring the nodding approval of the public going into Christmas will transpire into checkout and net sales. Not coincidence this comes on the day the High St will be swarming with Debenhams bargain hunters and people wanting to shop after a months break.

International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) are being followed specifically 16 and 38
(Property, Plant and Equipment and Intangible Assets) meaning costs and revenues for the gold are capitalised (deducted from the capitalised costs of development) until the mine goes from development to commercial production. Despite the ore from previous mining being processed, this does not count as commercial production.
The mine is in 'care and maintenance' since 2019.
So until commercial production (which IMO is not likely anytime soon), all revenues are deducted from development costs and not shown as Revenues on the Income Statement.

The problem IMO is that unless they are going for a proper BFS and revised JORC, which they haven't stated, then are Galantas showing intention to start commercial mining, instead looking for a sale which they have stated, but are utilising all the ore previously mined to obtain well over a million dollars, which is not being shown in the accounting to pay normal costs.

I asked the company and got the above explained but this isn't quashing my personal angst about the million dollars in gold sales.

Anyone (someone invested rather than one of the anti-Galantas posters I have on filter) have comments or is satisfied with this ?

Vaccine Plus Oil Price Up means gold shares get smacked.

Am I reading correctly ? The CEO Cobus Loots just spent £740,000, Three Quarters of a Million Pounds on Shares at around 22p., the numbers are very high for director buys.
LTS Ventures (Pty) Ltd), where CEO is a director, buys 2,399,500 shares at 22.6p spending £560,000
also 651,435 shares at 22.46p spending £146,000
sold some CFDs earning £46,000
Then also buys 387,200 shares at 20.8p spending £80,000

A dividend which equates to around 3.5% yield on todays price.

IMO the gold price will go higher on the QE for the upcoming economic "Covid Hangover" problems, PAF will have very low debt going through 2021 and then pay a large dividend (2p plus) and an SP north of 30p during the year.

If the CEO is committed at at 22p plus, then surely this is buy under at under 20p

I actually traded well after top-slicing. Unlike some of my dogged trading history. I bough all my shares back cheaper only a two days later after selling, grabbing a few percent profit, which help to bring down my SSE average the average in some other shares.

If this new higher range beds in then SSE will be a long term hold and investment taking the dividends. With more farms comes more income and more debt. The debt will not last forever, but the energy from wind farms will carry on.

Looking good ! The market is starting to price out the pandemic, which gives rise to the question as to where and what value we'll reach ? The share price last mid Dec to mid Jan was around 400p, pre-Covid, but US Steel prices were in the $580s then and just now they've shot above $800.
Chart-wise the area 460 to 470 looks like the next mark IMO.

10 Miles away from the mining and the gold. Irrelevant to the Galantas, share price, investors, JORC or current business plan. Even if mining took place some long time in the future, it would probably be well below any rivers or ground that could cause landslides.

There's good and bad. Not a fan of the high debt position which is essentially borrowing to pay dividends, nor all the spin with this adjusted and reported, but this is how many companies operate now.
I have top sliced today above 1400. I might buy in on a retrace, or leave what I have to ride if the price keeps high.

This could also just be positivity due to the vaccines and the market beginning to price in a back to normality. Chart suggests going back to around 240p. If so then the special dividend is only marginally priced in IMO.
