I’d be more more concerned about a Global downturn than Brexit next year. It seems the markets are pricing in a recession now.

Crowcast, if Europe suffers a meltdown which is looking increasingly likely, do you want to pay for it ? Or would you rather the UK is a master of its own destiny ? Macron is an unashamed advocate of a federal European superstate, the German economy is on the wane, Italy is in trouble as is Greece. I do get curious about the fear out there over Brexit. I see Brexit as a liberation and an opportunity.

Have sat half in cash for a while resisting temptation to step back in. Brexit will provide opportunity if we go to WTO rules. The Chinese are in the crosshairs again over intellectual theft and Trump is not a man to back down despite the fallout it will cause. Gold for me for a period while everything unfolds.....

All Lloyd’s can do livestock is carry on making improved profits year on year. It is not the fault of Lloyd’s that market makers are pricing this year downwards. Removing shares from the register when the price is perceived to be low seems to me to be a good use of distributable profits.

Yes, it would be a good time to conduct a buyback. Yield is well over 5% now at this price. As long as we don’t go into a full blown recession, these are looking very cheap in my opinion.

Why don’t you express an opinion on Uphigher’s habitual de-ramping of this share ? Just curious as to why you’re not being even-handed.

An intelligent investor wouldn’t pay any attention to views expressed on here to be honest. They are opinions and not fact to put things in perspective.

I wouldn’t pay too much credence to how Lloyds moves vs the FTSE. Sectors move the index of late as do shares whose profits are denoted in USD. Can we have a prediction from you on when the world is going to end please ?

Fleccy, May will do a U turn if she has to. She’s already done one delaying the Parliamentary vote on her deal. I wouldn’t take at face value anything she says anymore.

Interesting article in The Telegraph this morning which I think is probably going to be the short term outcome now. It suggests Article 50 will be suspended. May is more than capable of U turning on her promise that we leave on Mar 29th given her refusal to suspend the Commons vote on her deal.

I can see them dressing it up as a temporary suspension until they have resolved the backstop issue. Might be wrong of course but the markets seem to be pricing in a delaying of Brexit.

I can only think LTI, that he is some kind of sociopathic narcissist. Definitely not the kind of person you’d want to be befriended by.....
