Only 1/3 of my SIPP is in UK stocks now. The majority is in US, Japanese and India funds now. Each to their own. If I could get 5% annual capital growth and a 5% dividend in Uk stocks, I’d hang around but it’s not available right now.

Ignore him. If he doesn’t like it, he should sell up and invest elsewhere. I sold half my holding here in March at my break even point as I believe there are better opportunities elsewhere at the moment. That’s my opinion but I won’t be bitter if I’ve got it wrong. So many tu*ds around without a brain cell I’m afraid.

If the money had been spent on dividends, it would have still left the business. Large US corporations such as Apple, Microsoft etc use buybacks instead of dividends and it has enhanced their share price. I’m afraid banking shares are just not popular in the UK due to macroeconomics and nothing to do with buybacks. The UK labour market is an issue, long term sickness and lack of growth. Nothing to do with buybacks.

NAV only down a couple of pence at 110p. Unless they’re going to cut the dividend down the line, these must be considered cheap.

Let’s hope we get there eh livestock ? 👍 I have a break-even of 51p with the remainder of mine after selling half at that price earlier in the year. I have some other stocks with a much lower dividend yield (such as AstraZeneca, Sage, Experian etc). Growth stocks often tend to have lower yields. Best of luck fella.

AstraZeneca has a dividend yield of about 2 1/4% livestock. Are you suggesting the share price should be halved to get a 4 1/2% yield ? I’ll be all over them at £5 a share 😂

It doesn’t work like that. And what purpose would suppressing the share price serve ? There’s no big conspiracy here. If investors believed that Lloyds is drastically undervalued, they would drive the price upwards as Market Makers would get caught of stock. The market pretty much drives the share price driven by sentiment and buying/selling.

£0.7bn of bad debt provisions were made livestock. Rising interest rates come at a price. Higher NIMs are not always the golden goose……

Hi 88. Hope you’re well fella. So, we finished down by 3/4p in the end and the buybacks have restarted. All a bit of a storm in a teacup if you ask me. Maybe those getting uptight this morning should diversify their portfolio a bit more so they are not throwing tantrums if one of their shares doesn’t go the way he/she wants. Or failing that, behave like SUFF does who has a lot of skin in the game here and always remains positive.

Just over 1p down now. The drama queens like ForensicBloo can stop getting so agged by it. I wonder if he needs his parent’s permission to operate his ISA and sell his shares. Bless him 😂
