Air France suffered with strikes (no surprise there) and cargo unit issues and low load factors.

But alot of the Airlines have benefitted from low fuel price gains

I think if we can beat the €300m net profit like 320 to 340 then we might be looking better than last year (minus the tax credit which isn't applicable this time).

SHARES IN AER Lingus owner International Airline Group (IAG) dropped by up to 10% in early trading this morning after it reported a fall in demand for economy fares on transatlantic flights this summer.

Aer Lingus itself, however, today reported a 22% increase in profits in the third quarter of this year.

Aer Lingus had an operating profit of €170 million for the third quarter of this year, a €31 million gain on the same period last year, which the airline said was “driven by solid revenue performance and benefitting from favourable fuel pricing”.

“Q3 2025 saw an approximately 6% growth in Aer Lingus’s overall capacity compared to Q3 2024, as the airline operated its largest ever North American network.”

Haha they arent making any money at the moment. Barely report flat earnings this financial year at best .

The shorts never increased yesterday. The figures are updated daily and reflect the shorts up to the day before .

Hardly surprising we went all the way down to 968 yesterday.

They are taking advantage of uncertainty, poor market conditions. Many shares have been dropping over the last 4 weeks along with rest of the market.

The shorts will have to close.And as you say if results are good and more importantly what Varadi states will be key to see if we will start to stabilise.

Yes increased alot but they have good money already. We gone from 1040 to 998.5 yesterday. And down to a low of 968 today.

They will have to buy back at some point and if the results are good next week that could be the start

Sharecast News) - Budget carrier Wizz Air said on Tuesday that passenger numbers had grown by double-digit percentages in October as it continued to refocus its network towards its core Central and Eastern Europe markets.

Wizz Air it carried 6.36m passengers in October, up 13.1% year-on-year, with seat capacity rising 13% to 6.85m, while load factor held steady at 92.9%, unchanged from the same month a year earlier.

On a rolling 12-month basis, passenger numbers were up 7.8% at 67.38m, while load factor increased by 1.1 percentage points to 91.2% and capacity increased by 6.5% to 73.88m.

It means they have no longer have a notifiable holding.

When it drops under 3% which is the level you have to notify

So my take is at least we know now that we have had a seller in the background dragging the price down. Now they are clear that should help us moving forward.

And someone has had to buy the shares : )

Maybe we are feeling a little more pressure but it's not just confined to Wizz
