Andinio's passionate indignation and the link to Companies House led me to looking at the tab about persons with significant control.
There popped a name which I then googled and it led to a now folded company - which appears to have *suddenly* gone into liquidation. Reading the posts of the company on LSE here made my skin crawl. That's because no-one had any idea about any significant challenges to the company in question. The said - now liquidated - company had also appeared to Vox markets.
Now this is where it gets worrying.
I got introduced to GFIN through Vox. A few months ago, the new management team had laid out a very clear plan for profitability. Now - according to the RNS dated 7.12.20; there's suddenly a plan for a sale of the business?!!
What is going on?
Are we going to be suddenly told that the business is being liquidated?

I agree with SC on this.
The company tech is good, the breadth and scope of possibilities is endless - but the money coming in is a pittance.
I have a huge investment in this so am hoping for some stellar returns - obviously - but this company, if run well, can be a giant leading in a range of cutting edge areas.

I am watching my investment in AFC even more closely now and thank my stars I didn't sell earlier when I thought it was going to be a dud company!
(Having said that, I also feel angry for not buying more when I was underwater!!)

Whilst recognising the excellent discussion on this thread, I am left wondering whether we forget that there are others who are also keen to get into this business space and it may not be a walkover for AFC.

Just reflecting on it:
1. The MoU sets out that Nobilis will be expected to provide the project pipeline, whilst the JV will be expected to source and provide project funding and project delivery capabilities (EQTEC will provide the design and core gasification technology and ewerGy will provide EPC services).
If this template works, it'll give a path for other places around the world where the pipeline is provided by the local who has expertise in building metal structures (their strength).
2. JV being the majority shareholder of each SPV and Nobilis as the minority shareholder.
This allows the JV to maintain control of the unit. The JV being between EQT and ewerGY).

You'll find TGR are way ahead in terms of product development. Competition is good nevertheless.
Going forward, Li-Ion batteries are less likely to be the battery of choice with focus more on the types produced by IKA and CAPX.
Best to research them both. CPAX has actually been in production in Malaysia for some time and are now bringing that outsourced production home.
