Are great strides being made Dave? The S cell is dependent on AlkaMem being perfected and that's a pretty tall order in the timescale set out by AFC (later this year for a working prototype) and with AFC's commercial success around shipping and data centres etc. depending on it, they need to get it right. If they can achieve that though, then we really are at the races.
Well the HFC was supposed to be deployed in early 2022 according to Bond. Hasn't happened so that's proof as if it were needed to take everything he says with a large dollop of salt (yuk). The disconnect between his words and actions is the big problem here. Does he make it up as he goes along? Looks like it unfortunately. There's always EE to keep us going though. Lol
Their attempt to justify the 75 prediction by suggesting electric powered aircraft and SMRs will not make profit is absurd. These areas will increase profit as they're the future and will be in big demand. This is a hit job on RR which I'm sure has an ulterior motive!
Well JP Morgan have managed to damage the SP further. 90p ffs! What is the BOD doing to counter this attack. Nothing as far a as I see! Such a pity to see such a great British company floundering like this!
Thanks for posting DW. It just emphasises the long silence on AlkaMem since the unbridled enthusiasm pertaining to it in 2019,20. A proper update is long overdue!
Since the demise of the L cell as AFC's commercial mainstay the company's future success is now intrinsically linked with the perfection of AlkaMem or their proprietary branded anionic membrane if you like as the solid cell's success depends on its electrolyte's (AlkaMem) ability to accept hydrogen cracked from ammonia or indeed as has been hinted at by AB, pure ammonia as fuel. The HFC is only a stop gap as I understand it, using a commercially sourced membrane as an electrolyte. Please feel free to correct me if this is not the case. Given this vital importance of AlkaMem, the lack of news on it is disappointing not least as it's been talked about since 2019 with research into its design ongoing ever since, we've been led to believe. Perfecting its commercial viability will be no mean feat so fingers crossed. If it can be the SP will take off. Waiting with bated breath.
According to you johnny, I'm not invested and am a cynical trader! Which is it? Do you believe me now? You clearly have no ability to reason or question things as you just blindly accept everything AFC say and of course you're worship of haggis the most dishonest poster on here, is cringe worthy. You're long and strong but I don't think you even know if why!
There will be other opportunities money. Anyway who are you to dismiss my concerns as crap? Maybe you can fill in the gaps Bond left reference AlkaMem, BK Gulf, Ricardo, Altaaqa, Mace, likely break even timescale etc.
Johnny, wrong I'm afraid. Sold half my shares at 35p in January at a big loss as I was fearful of a total collapse as the SP was tanking. I still hold the rest which remain heavily underwater so I'm qualified to be unsatisfied with AFC's performance which has been dire. There was nothing coming from today that changed my view and judging from some of the feedback it's clear Bond is not forthcoming with satisfactory answers about future commercial prospects. The lack of clarity on AlkaMem is concerning as it implies they haven't got it perfected even though they're meant to have an S cell ready this year as per the ABB deal, which depends on AlkaMem being commercially viable. I don't believe this will happen. We're being strung along I feel. Also, I thought today's early announcement about the EV charger was cynically timed to placate AGM attendees. He couldn't even announce any sales of it. In fact he's never sold anything! Does that not concern you johnny? Maybe you've got too much blind faith in AFC. I hold and am not happy about that TBH as AFC are taking far too long to monetise their tech. It could be that they never do. Have you considered that johnny? It is good when they announce new developments such as HFC and the Power Tower but it's a far cry from Bond's own musings of 50 qualified enquires many with multiple order potential by the end of 2021! TBH I don't trust the guy and with good reason. I don't know why anyone would.
Yes 1john. It's looking like apart from the PowerTower and charger there's not much else on offer at the moment. What the heck do they do all year? AlkaMem was touted as the holy grail back in 2019 when it clearly didn't even exist and it still doesn't in commercial form! Ricardo and BK Gulf going nowhere after much fanfare when announcing cooperation with them. Is this all done deliberately to enhance the SP temporarily? Will this company ever succeed commercially? I'm starting to think it's been set up to benefit a few not the many! No chance of a re-rate anytime soon based on today's offerings. Disappointing as ever.
Thanks beach. Doesn't sound like anything's imminent where AlkaMem is concerned then, which is disappointing as it's our trump card I feel. Maybe the current commercially available membrane currently in use in the HFC is going to be used more and for longer than originally planned?

RR is certainly continuing to underwhelm. Hopefully we'll get word in a new CEO soon. That and receiving the ITP money might help with sentiment at least. The market clearly doesn't like the uncertainty judging by the reaction when and since his resignation was announced.
