It was an improvised 100KW unit Bumble, using a commercially sourced membrane, not the one we were promised, containing AlkaMem. My point was always that AlkaMem would not be developed in time and so it proved. AFC was originally all about AlkaMem to enable high power density production using slightly impure hydrogen facilitated by a FC with an alkaline environment . That trump card has now gone and been replaced with a conventional PEM system, I believe, hence the great emphasis now on the new ammonia cracker. The goalposts have been moved completely in my view, leaving us with low power output power towers instead of the megawatt capable power cube etc., which was once touted.

I think if people want to enjoy all the trappings that modern telecommunications bring then they have to be prepared to pay for it. The only people who will gain here are lawyers. Putting good companies like VOD under even more financial stress when everyone is eager to enjoy 5G, which of course is vastly expensive to introduce, is counterproductive. Some positive news would be welcome here for a change!

Bond is good though. I mean he's kept the gravy train chugging along for years by hyping up the eager expectation, on the part of investors that the big commercial breakthrough is just about to happen every year. I mean we're all desperately anticipating a number of commercial developments currently such as ABB, Speedy, Acciona etc. egged on by haggis and others but if it's anything like before they won't actually materialise! I'd love to be wrong but why does "later in the year" always translate to the last 2 weeks and still nothing, with this lot? I note as well the SP is still to take on the hockey stick analogy as hyped at the AGM. It all stinks really if we're being honest about it.

Have you looked at the SP recently Bumble? It's a long way from break even for most gullible punters on here, some of whom will have been influenced by the despicable haggis and others like him! I'd respect you if you could for once admit that Bond has misled investors and that consequently the current situation is completely unacceptable, given his past predictions. Remember the evocative language he used about AlkaMem (Holy Grail) entirely designed to draw in investors and pump the SP. Unfortunately for him, everyone, including Mr. Market, are now wise to his modus operandus, hence the debased SP, despite recent announcements.

AFC will struggle to attract buyers for any future placing if it isn't bringing in significant revenue by then. After the previous raises in the 60s and the subsequent non delivery of anything tangible, I suspect few if any institutional investors would go anywhere near this s**t show unless it's actually delivering commercially. Look what happened to Velocys recently. There's no appetite out there for backing jam tomorrow, disruptive, green tech such as that offered by AFC.

My concern is more around getting delisted before the transaction is due to complete, assuming it does, next July. Isn't the rule of the LSE that a company will be delisted if a suspension lasts longer than 6 months?

To me that other NHS hospitals will adopt Genedrive's AIHL tests as to not do so would deny the same level of safeguarding to babies in their care that's currently being routinely provided in Manchester and Brighton. Momentum will surely build here in the weeks and months ahead.

Maybe the only hope here is for a low ball takeover offer. I'd take 90P just to get out even. One thing's for sure though, Margherita is a disaster!

Is this company in terminal decline? With the FTSE well up this dog still manages to drop! The dilemma of course is, does one bail now or wait and hope for something positive and a recovery? The BOD seem incapable of saying or doing anything to ameliorate this dire situation.

Meanwhile, no news of any kind emanating from the BOD. You'd think a company that owns so many telecom businesses around the world could muster some positive messaging to try to stop the shareprice carnage. I bought here for the dividend. What a mistake that was as I've lost X2 in capital. This "new" CEO must stop the rot or move over to make way for someone who can. It worked over at RR, so why not here?

Maybe Adam is waiting to announce the ABB Unit delivery so he can give shareholders a lovely Christmas present! That must be the reason it's gone silent on all things ABB!

BT up 10% in the last 5 trading days. Vod up just over 1%! It's grim being a VOD shareholder! Maybe news on the Italian sale could move this. God knows we need something and soon.

Could the Royal Sussex County Hospital's adoption of the AIHL test start a domino effect. One must assume that the test is effective otherwise the Brighton hospital wouldn't have acquired it. This being the case other hospitals and health trusts must surely follow as to not do so could be construed as negligent. GDR's kit obviously does what it says on the tin, which is the vital ingredient required for commercial success. My faith here has been restored. I believe with James Cheek now running things GDR could finally be set for take off! 🤞

Well done Tom. I sold out too but at £2.54 having sold half previously @ £1.40! Regretting it now but I've made really good profit here so mustn't be ungrateful. With hindsight if I'd held on to all my shares I'd be retiring but hanging on all the way is hard. So many different thoughts cloud one's mind that impulse inevitably takes over! Might buy back if it cools down a bit!

Well we don't know what specific membrane the machine will be used on Bumble and its acquisition also makes me wonder how AFC have been making their membranes all these years without it!

Maybe AlkaMem will rise from the dead! ⚰️

Ok, danielh but she is responsible for maximising shareholder return and is currently doing a very poor job in that regard. Maybe it'll spring into life but despite some recent positives e.g. the Spanish sale, the 3 merger and better revenue in Germany, it just stays planted in the low 70s!

I've just been stung over at Velocys! They're going private for 0.25 pence a share! It's absolutely despicable but I worry that the same thing could happen here. If Bond were to buy a load it would ease my concerns but he doesn't, ever!
