I have real time prices (level 1) but no level 2. 6.12 are buys though. I was just offered £1k @ 6.12 to buy Sorry I cannot assist you further.
For all: The recent trades are buys !
The new fit for purpose plant is likely to cost around $150 mil. There is a good post on here (a few day back) with a link to an interview with the CEO T.W. have a look at the video it only about 8mins long & well worth a watch. They do not have the cash in the bank to build a new plant but I am sure that will all be addressed in the forth coming DFS. o/t what about solo today! what a rampers BB that is. I hope they do not jump on FDI & come over here.
Yes this week here is defo going to be very interesting. It is hard to envisage a retrace from here though.
Yes strange indeed. To me though, it is yet another indicator that FDI stock is so very undervalued right now.
here's another article from December 7, 2004 http://www.jckonline.com/2004/12/07/firestone-and-de-beers-agree-to-explore-two-areas-botswana Not sure why the story is surfacing today though.
Here's where I saw that today, not sure it has posted today though.. http://zenzhcn.corelim.com/blog/botswana-gem-exploration-deal-signed-323.html
I saw that today as well but that is old news http://www.miningweekly.com/print-version/botswana-gemexploration-deal-signed-2004-12-08
Zorns...nice reminder to all in your last post Just to add... I also agree a return to 8p + is a banker & with all of last week's news it does shows the BOD are very serious about taking this company from junior to midcap & IMHO at these levels, FDI is now a very attractive de-risked play.
demand was strong at the sale.... Full story here... http://www.israelidiamond.co.il/english/news.aspx?boneid=918&objId=11822
If you mean FDI when you refer to the "spate of sells here" if you have spare moment, have a quick look back at the posts on Friday after close of play (on this bb) & you will see that a lot of the trades that where showing as sells may in fact be buys. Various posters including myself did some dummy buys / sells. Our findings were most interesting & posted in the various posts as referred to above. I think the MM's are trying very hard to disguise the true interest here. Re RMP: Yes I like the look of it but as you quite rightly say "10p in the blink of an eye" is possible. FDI is where I am right now & I imagine I may miss it. Still will defo keep an eye on it. May catch you on the RMP BB soon Atb
I do agree, joining a party when it has had a decent rise often bothers me. Since you guys mentioned it, here's a couple I have been watching (not tipping) with interest CZA & RMP.
I absolutely agree "best play on the market." IMO FDI was way oversold & hence MM's took full advantage to walk it down & load up. I thought at around 8p is where it should have been not 4p. Add in this week's news...rare stones, new trading facility & Henderson's holding in shares & for me 12p is where it should be but I guess the market never lies. Great to have all opinions on here though ! ATB
Thanks for the confirmation re NADs rise. Yes RHPS wound dedicated followers into FDI & I think it was something like 40p at the time. oooooch ! Let me know if 40p is wrong.
I was amazed to see the rise on Friday for NAD but I think it had more to do with the court ruling rather than the tender results. I may be wrong but I do know the tender results were announced on Thursday & NAD at one point (on Thursday) were a fraction down. Back to FDI: I think 8 - 8.5p by the end of this week is by no way unreasonable & from there I think we will really start to move & perhaps Mikey could be right, 20p could be sooner than we think.
I agree the email doesn't contain any specific factual info but it also claims Tim Wilkes said... "I think the shares are incredibly undervalued even after the 35% increase this week". The statements contained in it just strikes me as perhaps over the top & even strange to say in an email. I could imagine it maybe being said to a possible big investor but to a PI ? Anyway, I guess really it is irrelevant. We all know that the DFS is coming very soon & given all the recent news confidence is high that the contents should be very palatable. Thanks for your thoughts.
Did anyone see my post from today (12:56) re the supposed email from Tim Wilkes over on iii. Here's a snippet... <extract> "We will be publishing the DFS results soon and then I suspect people we stand up and take notice." </extract> Now if that is genuine the extract as above makes the DFS sound nailed on an all systems go! I wonder though, would or could Tim Wilkes be allowed to say that in an email right now ? Also notice the grammatical error... "I suspect people <error>we</error> stand up and take notice". I am always very sceptical of unquantifiable info that gets posted on the various forums but would be intrigued to get some knowledgeable feedback from you guys on the above. i.e could or would a director say such a thing before the official release on an rns. Here's the link again.. http://www.iii.co.uk/investment/detail?code=cotn:FDI.L&display=discussion&id=10113375&action=detail Anyone got any thoughts on it ? Mikey: thanks for the info on trap will do some research.
V Happy Birthday zorns. As per usual great posts by all. Did firestone get back to you on your email yet zorns ? As there is a post over on iii.co.uk that claims to have an email reply from Tim Wilkes http://www.iii.co.uk/investment/detail?code=cotn:FDI.L&display=discussion&id=10113375&action=detail ATB & Later guys
Not so many days ago we were all trying to dig up some negatives on FDI vs price & we were all pretty much in agreement that it was a "buy" & that was before the latest batch of news. Still were only about 40% up from the all time low. Yes 40% is not to be sniffed at but given the all time low price 40% is nothing. We are riding here on a mining operation & of course anything can happen, accidents, acts of god etc. So given nothing like that happens, I think we can easily see another 60% maybe 100% or more on top of today's price, quite quickly. Mikey, you are right about having a steady week, slowly but surely, day by day ticking up, with no real drop in price. I prefer it this way as I cannot take too many white knuckle rides. However, this may not last. I imagine at some time MM's will start to shake the tree. ii's don’t care about the day to day swings but private people in at these levels will have some nice paper profits wiped away on just a few intraday % down & the MM's will know it! Of course those that are brave could trade any swings in the hope to get more for their money. I luckily or unluckily have a busy week of work next week so apart from Monday won't get that much time to watch during the day. The next few weeks are going to be so very interesting. Providing we do not get any catastrophic news, I simply cannot see a retrace from here & I feel very comfortable to be still in.... but really, what do I know. The games we play !
Relentless trades, but selling! Not sure about that. Have done a few dummy buys & sells here today, have quick look at the recent posts & the you can see from the prices offered it is rather hard to tell. However one thing is for sure, IF as you say there has been relentless selling then the MM's were more than happy to load up as the price did not drop.
