Been quite a big investigation at the state level. Should the Government ask for revisions in numbers with plugging this would put the company in an extremely precarious position and go the way of Rangers FC. Huge government bill with prospects of insolvency.
Think this is a sell.
Diversified has been called the largest legal Ponzi scheme on the market. The company is technically insolvent. They have drastically and intentionally underestimated their plugging costs and are guilty of dubious financial practices that push the envelope of the law.
Both the value of the assets and the corresponding liabilities of the acquisitions are flawed. Independent analysis has found that Diversified’s wells are declining at a much higher rate than their internal projections. In its latest financial report (November2022), Diversified estimates an annual well decline rate of 8.5 percent, while independent analysis has found Diversified’s well decline rate to be between 11 percent and 19 percent annually. Meanwhile, in projecting
future cash flows and liabilities over the next 70 years, the company is projecting a long-term decline rate of
just 4.5 percent to 5 percent .
One day this company is going to explode.
Some profit taking today, I imagine. I think we are looking fairly solid long term. I can't wait to see where we are at the end of Q2.
I think we might sneak into profit FYE 2020. There is lots of enthusiasm about America and rightly so. But that is supported by broader consumer, behavioural shifts that will benefit Gaming Realms.
Consumers are gambling more on their phones and looking for increasingly entertaining ways to bet. Games are an excellent way to gamble and gaining in popularity. Coupled with the expansion of gambling in US states this looks like a good bet long term.
This is the end for Premier. They will refinance their debt and Chrysaor will buy all the assets at bargain prices.
Sold at 171p today! I bought in at 40p during the pandemic when every one thought the world was going to end. I have taken my profits and got an offer accepted on a new house.
I will be back! The long-term prospects for WH are excellent. I just wish I could have stayed a bit longer. :( Once the house goes through and everything is up and running I will be back in. Stick with it guys. Give it time and be patient. William Hill is a winner!
My gut feeling is CoVid is not going anywhere and lockdown has failed in the US and UK. The lockdown will, I fear, return in the next 6 weeks. Some of the Home Nations may be fine but once they open the borders then what? Will they be closed forever? There will be buying opportunities, no doubt about it. Barring a vaccine, this could go on for years.
On the note of vaccines, people are quite pessimistic. Vaccines are often said to take years to test and implement. But when governments, people, and companies are on a war footing with unlimited resources you will be surprised how quickly solutions arise. With trench warfare the British Government went from cavalry charges to tanks in 2 and half years. America went from having no army to the Atom Bomb. People find a way. I think the virus will be sooner than the worst case scenarios predict.
I blame the ****ing democrats. That's a rich market of 40 million people washed away. Not a disaster, there are still 49 states but California is a sore loss.
Nice play. Well done. We have saw the biggest rises. But you should have kept some for the long run.
Why would you sell this now? Gaming is rocketing at the moment
Well done, mate!! That's great news. You will probably get a multibagger given time. Congratulations!
Great buy at 30p. I would have bought so much more had I had the capital.
I bought in at 40p. I was slightly concerned when it went to 26p. I thought of going in large at 26p, the price wa just so cheap. But that would have meant selling my Barratt shares, and I know they are a good bet, so didn't take the risk. Regrets? Some thoughts sure, but I'm very happy with my investments and I'm always looking to define that line between appropriate risk and greed. In the long run, I believe WH has an outside chance of being a ten-bagger for myself.
This level seems about right for the time being - £1. I cannot see any push to 130. The SP was 134p last May and that was without the current situation and all the inevitable losses.
I think we should let the free market to its thing. All this chat of intervention in oil and gas is ridiculous. Thousands of American Shale companies having being drilling on debt, artificially suppressing the oil price, it's time to let these companies face the reality of their inefficiencies and debt. When the duff producers are gone, only the large companies will survive, Shell and BP are good long term bets. I will go in if the Democrats refuse to bail out oil and gas in the US.
I have been looking at WH ever since the US decided to open up gambling to the masses. I got in here at 40p and I do not think it will return to those levels. I want to hold that for as long as possible.
I do expect some pull back because it has been on a tear and expect a bit of a rocky road but there is still great value to be had here, I feel when those dips eventually show themselves in the coming weeks/ months, it will provide buying opportunities.
I just wish I had more money to invest at 40p!
Had to average down yesterday at 38! But this looks like a good play. We also got a note in the IC today. There may be more swings in the market but I think this can survive and is still dirt cheap. Waiting for another retrace to top uphttps://www.investorschronicle.co.uk/stock-screens/2020/03/24/shares-that-are-as-cheap-as-they-ve-ever-been/
I hope Everyone in here will be OK. This is extremely worrying to see. Premier oil is going to be tested as a business over the next 2 months
Back in at 61!! CHAAAARRRRRRRGGEE!
Bought back in at 72!! Got the knife I feel.
