After the analysis I sent earlier, I searched the web, and found this info which applies to companies that delists voluntarily (like ACER) as opposed to others who are forced to delist (thrown out of the exchange). this is the info, and below it is the link: "some companies choose to voluntarily delist from an exchange. Hi all, I have come up with an analysis regarding what has been happening since yesterday and the kamikaze drop in the price of shares of ACER. I need your opinions and views about this analysis, also any input you may like to add about what has happened. 1- The company proposes delisting, a circular will be sent to all shareholders to attend a meeting to approve the delisiting. In this meeting the shareholders will be told the reasons behind the delisting proposal. 2- The delisting will not go through unless the shareholders approve it in the forthcoming meeting. 3- The shareholders will obvioulsy not approve anything that means they will lose out 4- The company indicates that if the delisting is agreed it will go ahead and after that the company will be re-registered as a private company 5- To become a private company it must have new private owners 6- This makes me believe that there is a take over bid and that this will be disclosed to the shareholders in the forthcoming meeting 7- All this suggests that our shares will not perish, and hence , could this be a good time to buy at this extremely low price? your views about this analysis appreciated, gl to all.

No he didn't ..... another question for you guys, if the company becomes a private company, what would happen to our shares? Am I right in thinking that a private company does not have shares for the public? Also if the delisting is subject to the approval of the shareholders (as Acer confirms), then obviously the shareholders would not approve it if it means they lose out in any way? any thoughts ....

Hi all, when this delisting announcement happened, I went to the ACER site and got the phone number of the company and I actually phoned (on behalf of all worried shareholders like us here). I spoke to one of the executives and I asked him a few questions, he was a bit vague but the good news I got out of him is that ACER will send letters to all shareholders informing them of a meeting and in this meeting the shareholders will decide whether to go ahead with this delisting. So maybe if we do get this letter as many of us must try to attend this meeting if we can to have a say. So the delisting is not definate yet, it has to be approved by the shareholders. If it is approved, the company will be re-registered as a private company ... I asked how long will that re-regitering take, he said not long, like one week. I am not sure what the implications of being a private company will have on our shares, its all vague at the moment, but I just wanted to share with you the info I found out, gl to all.

The +813.04% should be read in the right context. As the shares were consolidated, every 10 shares becoming ONE share, thus if the price would have remained unaltered the figure should have read + 100% ..... so the +813.04% means that the price of the CKSN shares actually fell by -16.96% .... that was the drop in the price of the share ( -16.96%) on friday ... If you read my previous posts of friday you would get a better picture of what really happened on friday, gl to all.

This company had its shares of problems in the recession like everyone else, but they have sold the bad routes, acquired a CVA (rare for companies) and have been on steady climb in the last 3 months. The 52 week high was £1.20, it went down all the way to 3p. but has been on the steady up ever since. It trades today at 25.27p. It has been on the increase all the time excpet last few days (like most other shares) after the head of the Bank of England gave his inspired "the recession is deeper than we thought" ... a statement which we all knew it seems excpet him!!! the price dropped on that day only (from 28p to 24p) as all other shares dipped, but has risen steadily again since. There has been massive buys in JJB lately and is a safe steady share. Just a quick note but due your own homework and gl to all.

So it does leave us on the fact that it might fall down again and come down below £1 as it is possible now, init?>>>>> the consolidation should not make any difference in theory, if you own £1000 worth of shares in CKSN, it does not matter whether you have 100 shares at £10 each or 1000 shares at 10p each ..... nor does the consolidation result in a drop in price of share .... the drop that happened today was a result of many owners like yourself who were unsettled and the uncertainty always means a drop in prices, this should be corrected soon. I posted a few posts earlier inviting mebers to buy shares today if they can ....... please see my earlier posts which included my analysis of what actually happened today. I have put my money where my mouth is and bought few good chunks today every time the price was going down ......... hope this input helps, gl to all

I am glad you have done the same ninja, what price did you get in at? As I saw it, there was no apparent reason why the price of this share would drop a whole 10% in one day (from 23p to 21p or £2.10 in new system) and drop this in ONE DAY except the uncertainty caused by the consolidation act. With the previous RI it is clear that CKSN have sufficient cash, this plus the reduction in costs (redundancies) and with the positive expectations of the second half of 2009 this 10% one day drop is artificial and will be corrected in the next few weeks. Hope others also bought today, gl to all.

Companies have been known to do all kind of measures for the benefit of the big fish owners in the past ... and when the big fish have bought large chunks of the scraps today (that shares that dont add up to 10 shares in all the stocks p.s. see my earlier posts) at the current very low unrealistic prices (caused by uncertainty) they will be laughing in a few weeks time, that is why I was urging all who can to benefit from this unusual circumstances and buy at these rediculous prices, I bought at 218 the again at 217 and 215 and 211 and 210 ...... it is costing me a lot, but I will play their game ......... gl to all.

You are quite right JLMSIA - at times like these, companies should be making their shares in cheaper units and not the opposite. This consolidation will prevent small buyers from being able to buy ..... as I do not see any economic sense or benefit behind this, my only explanation is that this was done deliberately for the benefit of the big share owners so that they buy the scraps today (shares that dont add to 10 in every sharholders stock) at a temporary very low price and then make big profits in a few weeks time. Please read my posts below .... let us all benefit from this sly plot and buy at this very low price ..... gl to all.

So just hope your 7 shares were sold early, if you are able to buy , this is the time, gl to all. and at what price was my additional 7 shares sold at?

Remember folks that what is being sold today are all th fractions of shares that do not add up to 10 shares in every shareholder's stock. The uncertainty has meant that not many people are buying, that is why they are going very cheap, hope you are making use of this .... I think I have said enough now, but all I want is to see you all benefit, in a few days to come I will either look like a genuis or an idiot :-) ..... gl to all ..........
