Because the strategy has not been fully implemented. They've had to acquire the right assets, now we're proving them up, the next phase will be disposal and return of profits. Why bail now when we're only two thirds of the way through?

To my knowledge it hasn't been done before, that's why the SP doesn't reflect the true value of what we've got. When they start paying dividends following asset sales, the wider market will get it

All these newbies giving advice about what will happen, how we'll get shafted etc obviously don't know the first thing about S&S's strategy. They're not not trying to build an O&G company, in fact they're not trying to build any kind of company. They're exploiting decent assets that need investment, when the value is proved up, sell it and return that profit. Rinse and repeat. No 'fat cat' board of directors to keep in luxury, no fancy headquarters to swan around it, lean and mean cash making machine, and that's why they can raise £24m in 48 hours

Agree about the hostilities miker44, however, we don't have a 'company maker' here. They're not building a company, that's part of the attraction for me, keep it lean and mean, exploit the opportunities then exit. As far as I'm aware it hasn't been done before, and I think that's one reason the SP is lagging behind where we believe it should be, the wider market just don't understand it, or how to value it
