Surely I can't be long now until we get notification of another forestry off take agreement. These are going to prove so fruitful in terms of revenue streams moving forward. I'd also be interested to know where we are up to with the new cannery which was much trumpeted. All good with OBT, starting to look like a darling of AIM.

Fair play B'zup, a profit is a profit. Nobody ever went bust taking a profit. I think we can look at circa 50% rise in SP over the next 3 - 6 months. Thats good enough for me not to try and trade this one.

. . .it tells a story, when you have 600k shares listed as sells in a stock where only small trades can produce large price movements, yet the SP has risen circa 3%. Much is happening behind the scenes me thinks.

It also proves that a good few of those "sells" we're in fact "buys".

smart money moving into Obtala now. Winnifrith was talking about a 15p target by Xmas - I say closer to 25p. There's just hardly any stock around so small buys move it up quickly. I love the way Miles played down expectations for the year, then we watched the big boys pile in. I think I'll stick around a little longer in this one!!!!

Luckyorange - in my opinion, this is a classic case of "look beyond what you see". The info released today is only reporting what happened in the 12 month period to Dec '15, that's a period of 6-18 months ago! Plenty has happened since then. New money in the company now, new management team, new list of target clients, new focus on premium product, a new broom sweeping away the periforal bits and pieces. We're in pretty good shape actually, and the bad news elements have now been communicated and are done with. I've been here a damn good while, and I'm confident of a sharp up turn in SP within 6 months.

I think the rns is informative and certainly more than we received recently from previous chairman. I'm sure however, that there is a lot more happening here behind the scenes. Obviously Miles Russian friend, isn't ploughing millions in here on the strength of what we've just been told. Watch this space. . . .

. . . follow the money. Nobody puts £0.5M into an investment to make a 10% turn. Over the last 12 months there have been several occasions where substantial buys have gone through.

It should also be noted, that ************* have this as a buy all the way up to 15p. Make of that what you will. I've been here a long time, and now back in clover, a warm fuzzy feeling descends upon me :-)

Actually, I think theres a lot of news that's been held back. The boardroom re-shuffle was probably planned several weeks / months back, and I'd imagine (having a bit of knowledge of these things) the good news will be released to give the new Chairman a roaring start to his tenure. Happy days are here again!

Can only be great news if Scolaro steps down. I think his reputation has hindered Obtala. Fresh young blood at the helm is very positive. The only downside in that Rns was Emma Priestly moving on. There was a whole lot of confidence on this board when she arrived to a bit of a fanfare; shame we probably never got to see her best work. Onwards and upwards, long and strong.

Share price fall now makes sense. Obviously an agreed price for a large purchase. This should precipitate a strong move upwards in the near future. But, WTFDIK

Selling the forestry business lock stock and barrel, was always going to be a bonus. I invested here years ago based on the agri-businesses (fruit, veg, and the cannery). The forestry was always a sideline that never seemed to offer much, other than the "rights" we had to it. If it's now generating cashflow, then great. I had anticipated that the market was expecting the rns to reveal the sale of this asset, as alluded to in the October RNS. Pre market opening prices seem to show I'm wrong. Anyway, I'm here for the long haul, so not selling or buying; I'm fully loaded here.

That the market will like this. A number of people invested here anticipating the sale of the forestry assets and hoping to cash in on the windfall that brought. Price will go down today. This move by the company however, is probably neutral for the longer term investor.
