I think probably largely due to the incredibly difficult year we have all faced many quickly forget certain things or lose track of timescales etc.
It's not as if other vaccines have been approved for years or months, not even weeks in reality.
Let's also remember the results of Oxford trials we first got news of were not exactly straightforward or beneficial to a fast emergency use approval. i.e. the different dosage rates and efficacy. The "better' results were and are to date on too small a sample size.
Emergency use is near certainly coming and soon so let's all relax on that front.
In the mean time stop being a d*CK, don't father in groups indoors etc. Simple really :-)

Union have you not learnt from various governments prior mistakes?
If action is left too long with this virus many more people die.
Living in Glasgow of all places you should be well aware that idiots not being sensible and or ignoring guidance has seen you with more cases than most areas and more restrictions.
Lockdown quicker = quicker more effective end results.
Until the vaccines have at minimum covered the elderly and those with underlying conditions then lockdowns is what we have.

They don't, they alter the basic vaccine

It sure would be a strange virus if it did not "mutate".
Zero evidence to date it is any more deadly.
All we have so far is it "may" spread more effectively.
This is as yet unproven as there has also been more social interactions during increased transmission.
From knowledge of other viruses it would be more of a shock if current vaccines DIDN'T work for this strain than if it did.
Understand a little of how the vaccines work and you would know this.
IDW likely does know this but doesn't suit his narrative. ShortestChild ...well what can anyone say there.

After any initial general market move Brexit has zero influence on Cineworld, so about least relevant share BB to discuss this on.
However, good find if any substance to it IDW.
What's your source on this one?
If true then I can now see no reason for UK not to sign up on agreement with EU.

Xmas 5 day thing was mental and we were always going to face further lockdowns January. This has brought it forward and means we will come out other end sooner than otherwise we were going to.

If your concerns outweigh your research in the business and it's possible future SP then dont invest.
Long holders here are obviously happy with their research of the risk rewards.
My and I believe others view is streaming is not a direct cinema competitor. It works WITH cinema and both see profits helped by each other.
Movies to streaming were movies to sky/Disney channel etc before. Before that they were movies to DVD, prior to that video, prior to that TV.
I have as near to ZERO concern as possible regards streaming being a threat to cinema as is possible.
Maybe 1% concern ;-)

Looks like some reasonable sized bits of buying gone through today on yet another low overall volume day.
Couple weeks now on a very tight range.
Closed today around same opening price two weeks ago started.
The London market can be seen to have had a little negative effect again with Brex(sh)it talks shenanigans again stalling and being viewed negatively.
(The 3/1 is now less than 2/1 on no deal 2020)

My feeling is they are using the pretty volatile nature of this and other stocks. The scale they can work on means small percentage movements can still be nicely profitable.
I do not understand the financial instruments part of the stocks and shares market.
Seems they may well be loaning out shares making a margin and at times also loading on the dips and selling on falls.
I don't know, but would imagine this will continue through covid times. Once business re opened and trading for some time with increased audience from social distanced numbers we will see less and less of these RNS.

If it was 6 months from now, yes.
Zero reason for expected news now to adversely effect business closed for the duration of these expected lockdowns.

I fully realise many EU economies are struggling, let's not pretend the UK isn't also however.
Agree on balance it's better for both sides to get a deal.
I somehow feel little Britain fish and chips won't be missed by most of EU if comes to it. There are other waters and other fish. There is also a world of other cuisines.
As I said we may well still get deal and it is favourite currently according to the odds makers.
It has swung a little again.
Was merely saying the value is in no deal.
The deal odds are too short to be considered value way things stand.
Value in odds does not always mean that's the most likely winning bet.
My main focus is Cineworld. Brexit is temporary noise (even though it's been 4.5 years so far).

While it may well happen, I must admit to feeling there is currently great value in the 3/1 on a no deal this year.
Listening to news and there just continues to appear to be similar differences there has been for months and all to little movement and time between now and end year.

If/when it finally gets to me I will have zero reservations having it.
If I was over say 70 or underlying respiratory condition, diabetic then I would be even keener to have it.
We are all different in life and we need to respect that. I do struggle with the lack of trust I guess it is with some though.

Half a million in 3 weeks I wouldn't say is yet that quick when you consider the time it would take at that rate to vaccinate the entire adult population.

Realise the first crucial stage is vaccination of all considered vulnerable and those over 65.
That should happen within reasonable timeframe (largely speaking).
Yes, when we know someone directly it makes things more real than TV or other media talk.

Having personally known a few people to have died of this I don't take particularly well to people shouting loudly how this is all a fake thing etc.
Let's embrace journey back towards "normal".
That word has never sounded so exciting.

Keep calm everyone, know with a share that has been fairly volatile over large part of this year it's easy to get bored or twitchy when it seems nothing happening.
Worth noting we have only been in the 60's for a couple of weeks.
This is getting ever more solid at these levels it would seem.

2021 is round the corner and cinema opening on its way.

Last few days and particularly today trade volume very low so there will be an increase in days to cover number.
Most shorts in higher than current price point and by some way so not sure I would be paying much attention to this mathematics number. Has limited meaning in my view.

It would feel nice to have a few weeks where we seen a 70p + SP soon I agree.
However I think most of us now have zero intention of selling now or at those levels.
The downside from here looks for now to be largely gone.
So other than little extra short term price comfort it wouldn't matter that much.
Stability with small rises between now and early months next year is fine.
Looking ever more certain only a matter of time we see that £1 at start of SP.
Here is to 2021 when we all start to look forward with this share and life more positive :-)
