I do not particularly follow "the charts", but 68p has been key point for some time now.
There is rightly excitement on the board just now, it is important not to get carried away too soon though.
We are ultimately in the hands of US and UK government organising correct resources to roll out vaccine fast enough.
For the ideal result we want as Cineworld holders that can't have any real negative slips (that will be tough).

We should have a far clearer picture of whether or not we are truly back in the game say end January/Early February when we see if they have been vaccinating at high enough rates.
I expect it to, but it needs to be MUCH higher rates than currently.

We ALL got the additional servicing costs of this year's further borrowing. How about you inform us all how much they will save initially by 1 Not paying dividends. 2. Results of their cost cutting exercise.

That deal you quoted was for 35 Theatres they sold and leased back, correct!?
When did Cineworld buy Regal? December 17!?
Regal has how many sites? 564 or something!?
Now I assume Cineworld didn't sell and lease back the other c530 sites.
Without wasting my time investing such I therefore assume REGAL already followed a similar business model to that which Cineworld now operates of leasing property and focusing on being a cinema business rather than a real estate business.
Imagine what debt Cineworld would have been in to purchase Regal had they owned all that real estate!!
Business sometimes males choices such as is it worth trying capital into something that is not core business nor gives sufficient returns.
Cineworld are not exactly alone in not owning the premises they operate their businesses from.
Go tell each and every single other business how dumb they are.
Once you are finished with that project head back here to part with more of your superior wisdom.

I think tomorrow or even for Tuesday stock exchange opening is still pretty soon for the vaccine authorisation.
It only went in was it a day/2 before Christmas and I imagine regulators do more than have a quick flick through hundreds of pages of information.
Still, it's days rather than number of weeks now for authorisation it seems.

Unless we have the Oxford vaccine news at that point I will be pretty stunned if we see a 20% rise Tuesday.
Even with Oxford Vaccine authorisation at that point I would be rather surprised to see such a one day rise where we are with everything.

Ollie everyone makes mistakes. Decent people admit to them as you have when pointed out.
So you realise now that timescales for vaccine program are perfectly reasonable and will allow Cineworld and others to restart operations in the not so distant future, albeit initially with some social distancing measures still.
The key though is it will be the start of certainty and no more when is next lockdown fears.

Social distancing still in place but starting their gradual relaxation.

There is enough knowledge widely now to realise strain news is largely irrelevant.
Viruses are continuously having different strains it's what they do and this knowledge is widely realised by public (and markets) now.
Has little to zero effect on what's required in fight against virus.
It's all about roll out of current vaccines and continued addition of other successful vaccines.
Oxford vaccine is a key next step due to its ease of transportation/use and for many economies also it's cost.
Speed of roll out can increase dramatically then.
One day green or red only matters to day traders though ultimately.

At 2 jags per person you are calculating either 196 or 98m people vaccinated in full at those rates.
What sort of drugs have you been on?
You do know children not currently expected for vaccine!?
You do know UK population much less than above numbers!?
You do know the vaccine purpose is to massively reduce the fatalities from this virus, not eradicate the virus!?
To do so it's the elderly and severe underlying health conditions that are crucial to success and they again are a much smaller section of entire population or even entire adult population.

Everyone knows nothing like the whole population needs vaccinated for there to be a dramatic decrease in the risks of this virus.
It's almost all about very elderly and those with certain underlying conditions. That is why they are being vaccinated first and both USA and UK expect this critical section to be vaccinated q1 of next year.

Just looked at my own Cineworld holding (different platform used) and also couple other sites.
Like you say shows 60p sell price and 69 buy.
Wouldn't worry too much as we can't trade right now and I would say they are still. 65 in the middle
Wonder of it's some spread safeguard either side for opening 28th covering either deal announced or surprisingly not announced/suddenly no deal.
Rest easy don't think anything in it and ultimately we can't do anything anyway so no point stressing.
