The studios largely speaking still support the theatrical window.
Changes were/are largely for a time unprecedented i.e. during covid and the recovery after it.
A shortened window such as the WB deal makes sense for all.
However their decision will not be effected by piracy, as contrary to what has been said here it has been possible to get perfectly good copies (in the most part) for almost all films in pre covid times.
Sometimes before the movies are even in the cinema in your country.
It matters not!!
People that enjoy the big screen enjoy the big screen.

What I do know is - I can not wait to get back to regular visits to the big screen (and know many others feel exactly the same).

From experience I KNOW we can not draw any conclusions from looking at online booking system for Cineworld.
As an unlimited card holder I would often go several times per week and regularly see (far) more seats shown as full/sold than the reality once I got onto the theatre.
How or why I do not know, but it is a regular occurrence .
I have personally booked seat a few times and for various reasons not gone.
As card holders are a fixed revenue that makes little odds in itself.
However it is potentially lossed revenue from concessions if I or others similar do not turn up.
It's also an empty chair that could have been otherwise sold.
