One of the main reasons I made this a significant holding for me was seeing the way that Nick handled the Bumi scenario ,he "did the right thing" for the company and the spat over him not doing what he was asked/told got personal and hit the UK national press (He later had a call from his main critic to thank him for the way he handled the whole thing, strange ,but that "thank you" never made the press !) Like all here seeing the news yesterday felt like a kick in the guts . However we are still here and the asset is still in the ground. Charles's posts yesterday are on the money and my comms have made things a bit clearer. " We do indeed have a Plan B but it will not be a Kneejerk reaction" and will be the "right thing for the long term" "We will get an update before the year end " . "Anglo were at pains to point out to us and the GRZ that their move has absolutely nothing to do with either Arc minerals or the asset" So now reading between the lines, we have had parties showing interest over the last few months (,I'm guessing that they started sniffing when Anglo were seen not to be drilling),as Charles said yesterday we need to put out the trash first so get the CCs out of the way before we can move forward properly. I couldn't see yesterday that it could possibly be a strategic move for Anglo as it took them so bloody long to get here but it seems that's exactly what it is. I doubt that the final announcement will have been a surprise to some majors and with the benefit of hindsight I should have been far more suspicious of Anglo's lethargy, and acted accordingly—You live and hopefully learn !
