🤣
Oh the irony.
Night
You really don't like the shoe on the other foot do you.
Anyway, I'd love to spend more time chatting with you. You seem like you'd be a fun guy to spend time with.
Sadly I've got sandwiches to make.
Have a lovely weekend Fiaz.
Atb
🤣 don't be so sensitive Fiaz.
You know exactly what I'm talking about.
I'm big enough to take the heat. I've broad shoulders.
Almost everyone posts from a pseudonym.
Have a good weekend of hating..
Ciao
Yeah, sorry forgot having any positivity means I must be in love with Ben, or be Ben. I'll grab my pom poms.
Still, its better to be authentic and have confidence in the company I'm invested in I guess, than not.
I'd understand your annoyance at me not hating everything here if I was ramping it. I've shared positive and negative views about KAV.
Although I'm probably talking to the wrong person about that. Given you were recently given a dressing down for sharing libel about Ben.
It's okay though, I'm just a sensitive cheerleader 😜
Depends on if you come from a place of lack of trust to start with.
But then if I did have distrust I'd care even less about the project, as I wouldn't be invested.
That was the point being made FKC.
Which is why I was curious to clarify with the person who made the statement exactly what they'd (Chinese) had done on 'this' (Nara) project. I couldn't find anything specific and wondered what they could share.
It turned out they then said it was an opinion.
Nothing wrong in contrary opinion of course, just not dressed as facts.
Everyone knows their are horror stories and geographical risk in Zim. Albeit it seems to not be quite like it was, we'll have to wait and see what comes next.
Nara is a side project for me ATM. Anything positive will be a bonus. Thankfully KAV didn't commit wild cash at the option and ultimately they can walk away after the exploration commitment if desired/needed.
I'll pay more attention to it after more news and if the option is exercised.
Atb
I'd agree with the Tingo aspect. Doesn't look great on the face of it but will see.
Plus, I broadly accept that NvS generally is optimistic when giving his timescales, but we all know that by now. I don't think that this comes from a place of being intentionally misleading or otherwise nafarious though.
As for credibility I think shifting the company towards the Zambian assets and then securing this deal with AA, especially given the terms achieved, gives enough credibility for me. (AA deal pending CP, finalisation, all other earthly disclaimers ad nauseam).
As for the rest of it let's see what comes. The market will decide if what were worth and as we've been in a predominantly sideways Patten's for the last five years they've been fairly happy with the mcap.
Have a good weekend all
Atb
Yawn Swakop, that is all.
Doesn't upset me.
Time will tell I guess. I'll leave it there for now.
As I say we'll have to agree to disagree on the AA deal completion and the assets.
Atb
Donkey, my apologies, I must have missed the POW RNS where they signed a Joint Venture for an aggregate investment by Anglo American of up to USD 88,500,000, including cash consideration of up to USD 14,500,000 for their assets. While retaining 30%.
I've seen no deal as good as this for a pre discovery exploration company. AA didn't offer it because the assets are poor here, or because the BoD of ARCM did a bad job negotiating.
If you believe in POW, cool. I won't head on over there and tell you you're wrong, as that would be pointless and would be a waste of my time. However it's exactly what you are doing here.
But if I was to say POW is a terrible investment I could easily also say .....It's Not just my case, Mr donkey, but most of the market as well, it would appear, judging from the 52w low share price.
Recognise your words. They are just as relevant to POW currently.
Like I say you can't use the above to prove your point on ARCM is valid and yet choose to ignore the same market and situation in POW, where you've just invested. It's a total contradiction and you know it.
Ultimately Donkey you don't like the ARCM proposition as you don't think the AA deal completes, no problem.
Hope you do well in POW. I won't pester you there and say how you're wrong as it's serves no purpose to me, as I'm not currently interested in it as an investment, and Ive no reason to do so. Why you do it here is either odd behaviour, or telling of one's motivation.
You'll try twist anything as is proven this far. Even if it contradicts your own actions elsewhere.
Atb to you.
Donkey. If you don't like the proposition here, why bother?
Your argument about it not just being your opinion but most of the market and the 52wk low price would apply to your recent pow investment too.
I'm not interested in comparing the merits or demerits of each company, but my point it that you can't use price weakness and a low relative price to support your negative thesis about ARCM and then invest in a company who are in exactly the same share price position who you've decided your positive on.
What it does suggest and you're bright enough to know, is that the share price doesn't reflect reality. It's a sentiment driven market. The sector generally has struggled in recent times and ARCM have traded largely sideways for ages.
It neither really believes or disbelieves or cares about the AA deal.
It will once it's completed though. I think the larger returns occur at drill and results and there is no guarantees of a discovery but the deal out forward by AA shows all the confidence I need. Even if it didn't complete (it will IMO) the deal terms show how serious they regard these assets.
Atb
Its obviously a signed agreement, but ive caveated the fact it's subject to the CPs sufficiently in the past. That clearly goes without saying.
We'll have to agree to disagree on the belief of it closing.
Atb
To be fair I think there is basis to the opinion around Chinese slowdown.
A number of metrics around industrial production and spending, while still positive, are below expectation . Plus some cohorts of unemployment are up.
All that said, the current copper price isn't of a concern to me personally for ARCM and here is my rationale for that view.
Firstly we're clearly not impacted in any short term volatility from a production perspective as we aren't a producer. We're not reliant on the current spot price or looking to enter into a hedge agreement with an offtaker to sell it for a while yet lol.
Secondly we aren't far enough down the exploration curve to worry about being a near term producer. We're not doing an economic assessment on a discovery with a view to needing to secure capex.
With that in mind, at this stage of ARCM, the only influence of the current / short term copper price is IMO..
a) sentiment - this may have an impact but given the above it's relative to ARCMs current stage and not as significant as companies in the later stages. So not a significant concern for me.
b) Capital markets - earlier stage companies may find it harder to raise exploration capital in a backdrop of a short term strain in copper commodity prices. Again not a worry personally as AA are funding it and ARCM has cash and advance cash payments built into the JV.
So short term copper isn't a worry for me with ARCM.
Mid to long term is more relevant as we progress but their is evidence of a structural deficit with copper. Under investment in production, falling stock piles and with copper being largely irreplaceable in the supply chain it's certainly one of the more obvious choices to bank on for electrification etc. Which is why I'm personally long on copper.
Just my views.
Atb
Stan,
My views are my views. They aren't in defense of the company or to save my investment lol. I share my genuine opinion.
I've said openly my uncertainty about a further acquisition. I'm still uncertain for the reasons I've said before but at least the capital exposure from the RNS isn't too vast.
While I do understand the strategic intent behind it, I remain to be convinced about the deal until we know more.
Maybe focus on your own investments bud. You need to.
Atb
Yes RNS is light ATM in terms of the project vendor and recent history etc.
You said the Chinese could not make this project work and so what chance do the geniuses at KAV have. Which sounded fairly specific and factually presented.
I'd therefore discounted the DYOR, IMHO tagged at the end of the post. As I associate those more with the opinion elements, rather than a coverall.
So basically there is no known failure of the chinese to make this project work. At this stage.
Thanks. Atb
Where can I send the dry cleaning bill from the spat coffee Mr Helx?
" I could be wrong......but that isn't something that happens very often"....says the man in the room with the 30p average. Good lord.
It's okay your £100 I shares will cover it.
Oops. Did it again. Sorry 😐
At what point in being right all the time, after buying your shares at the top, not selling them on the way down, then being trapped with them, did you realise your gift for the stock market? Dear oh dear.
🤣
Comedy gold. Made my day that did Mr Helx.
Thepublican - i have to agree that by definition of taking a risk, all investing is gambling, as is many other things in life. However I disagree about your broader analogy / sentiment regarding investing and gambling.
It's not like a casino at all. This isn't fixed odds betting. It's not a level playing field. It's a fact some do better than others at investing. Effort. Experience. Luck. Strategy. Patience. Risk management (especially in high risk markets). They all play a part. Luck too, but you have to limit the reliance on the latter. Whereas in a casino it's entirely what you rely on.
Good luck with your gold miner though.
Atb
Swak, you said this project, so Nara .Please do share re Chinese and this project.
You're the oracle of AIM Helx. 😋
I'm focused on entry not exit prices. I let you worry and ponder how you recover your losses.
What's your average? 30p?
Subject to the CPs as you say AA will want to drill this year and they've assigned contractors to evidence that intent.
Regarding wet season drilling. I'm not expecting them to, but it's not unfeasible.
