Pi££ poor deramping attempt Durham. It was in South East Ecuador on Pacific coast near to Peru and nowhere near any of Solgs priority tenements. But glad you’ve shown your true intent so now we can all ignore your posts!
Messrs Botts & Loyer no longer needed as it’s getting clearer by the day that the for sale sign is firmly in place! Sanga is doing what he does best and with around 19 million shares in Solg you can bet your bottom dollar that he will straining every sinew to get top dollar for his investment and we just need to keep hold of his coat tails ( and our shares) to reap the benefit
Think you need to get over it and move on BNC. All that really matters now is what return we as shareholders get for our investment in Solg and if the CGP lot deliver it then happy days for all! Its all about the final outcome not how we got there IMO. Good luck to all the good folk who have been invested in Solg over the years- we certainly deserve our pay day whenever that may be!
Is a complete waste of space not to mention a waste of everyone’s time reading and replying to his anti Solgold ranting! I have him filtered as he is clearly not invested in Solg and is only here to disrupt either for personal gain ( not sure how that happens but hey ho!) or maybe he has some mental issue requiring him to upset other people? Either way his posts are disingenuous and he should be treated with the contempt he deserves! So do us all a favour 1981 and slither back down your hole and stay there
Trust your comment wasn’t directed at me Cookie? 1981 clearly isn’t invested in Solg and either attacks other investors on here or posts overtly negative views about a company for which he has no skin in the game!
Is a useless tool who clearly isn’t invested in Solg and is only here to disrupt! What a complete waste of space you are 1981. A kn£b jockey of the highest order! Into the trash can you go with all the other low life bottom crawlers ! Feeling better already having flushed you down the loo to join all the other residing turds :)
If you seriously think that after all these years of effort Nick and his associated companies would approve a buy out at 35p then you must be even more deluded than I thought! Never in a million years would Nicks 19 or so percent support such a bid so as I said before anything not starting with at least a 4 is a complete non starter!
Your post earlier claiming that a first bid by the Chinese would only be at a 30 to 40% premium on the SP completely forgets that such a bid would leave both BHP and NCM underwater based on the current SP! So unless your likening them to Turkeys voting for Xmas there isn’t a snowball in he££s chance of it being accepted! For this reason any opening bid without at least a 4 in front of it hasn’t got a Scooby and if it’s to get board approval it would need to be much higher!
As the proposed merger won’t conclude until the end of Jan could it be that Solg don’t want to make an announcement until it’s signed and sealed as until it is there remains an outside possibility that CGP could receive a bid so maybe Solg are just being cautious in the timing of any announcement?
Orthern - That’s because the result hasn’t been announced yet and then ( assuming it’s given the green light) the merger has to be completed which may take several days or even weeks? So from my perspective we won’t see any meaningful uplift in the SP until both of these milestones have been completed
Credit where credit is due DM you called it right on the votes still to be counted but your maths on likely outcome of resolutions ( Oooo it’s going to be tight etc etc) was well off the mark! So let’s just agree to disagree but not withstanding that I wish you and all the other good folk on here a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and PROSPEROUS New Year
that last year the board withdrew the resolutions on pre-emptive rights as it was obvious they were never going to hit the high threshold required to pass the resolutions. So forward a year and have they withdrawn the same resolutions? NO! Hmmm now what might that mean either in terms of the original threshold to pass these resolutions or perhaps they will just go with a simple 50+ for vote? Hey if they want to move the goalposts to stop the likes of BHP gaining control of Solg I'm all for that and if that means scr£w corporate governance then so let it be!
Yes last year and the votes announced at the meeting were the final confirmed total votes and didn’t change upon issuing the official AGM RNS. From recollection they went though each vote and added the votes cast ahead of the AGM to the votes cast on the day and then DEFINITELY announced the final outcome with a number and percentage and whether it was passed for or against. What they most certainly didn’t do was say ok folks we’ve got these votes here but still have some outstanding votes to add so we’ll get back to you later with the final figures! Sounds laughable don’t you think!?
Not sure what your agenda is ( but can guess with only a single post to your name at the start of today) but all this sowing doubt about the final vote figures is laughable. At last years AGM the voting figures and percentages announced at the AGM were the final confirmed figures which eventually were published in an RNS. So unless they have changed the way they announced the results last year all your speculation about still having to add in votes for BHP/NCM is pure bulls£it!
