Thanks EIN. Do you have a link to that? I didn't know he had explicitly ruled out a sale?
Harrian, i see only funds... please enlighten us
Thanks bud :)
With the amount of cash other large miners are coming into atm, I agree, and I selfishly wouldnt mind a solid offer for my holding. The obvious suitors are the chinese, as they are the main customers, but would the local govt allow that to happen?
Copper up, gold up. No reason for this to fall except the normal adage of sell on news taken to extremes by devious groups. Likely mm have orders to fill from their fund manager mates. Its a tree shake. Dont give them your shares!
Gold accounted for a full 15% of revenues in 2016, Zinc 10%, Copper 69% Larger proportion of Gold than previous reporting periods
Another box ticked. High growth in production achieved, and with good prices for the material this is a solid hold for me. Target £10. Some might sell on this news, but not worth the risk IMO. The market may wobble, but you can't hold a good company down.
HSBC results were disappointing, so financials were all down in sympathy... dragging the market down with them.
Possibly risk off time for equities in general for the next few months with a view to more rogue election results in europe?
Looking fowrard to the resukts this week. Hope they will be well received. Looking beyond, next news should be Q1 production in april. Several key events that may impact wider markets over the next few months. Hope we dont get dragged down.
Good post Footielad
Superb! World class assets coming online, just when the competition is on strike! Heh
Forgot to mention, the debt repayments begin in earnest in 2018, so if commodity prices remain good or increase this year and the company is awash with cash, i expect the company will want to prepay debt where possible, further improving the metrics.
The same question has been on my mind as well Tucson. I too bought in some years ago when the sp was in decline, only to learn later of the major restructuring . I sold out at a heafty loss, but bought back in again last year. On your question of how to put an appropriate value on the sp... I may get ridiculed for my simplistic views, but i think 6 times ebitda with a haircut for debt allowance is good for a stand alone mark. If ebitda comes in around ~500mm usd that would put the mkt cap at 3bn usd, and taking a haircut for the debt puts us about where we are now. One also needs to include a premium for the planned ramp up of production and sale of goods at todays prices which is harder to quantify, but if ebitda doubles in 2017, the back of my fag packet says double figures this time next year. Hope this is useful to kick off. Gla

Have a view on what ballpark 2016 earnings will be and why? Thx
Would have thought this type of scheduled rns would be released pre market ~7am. In other news, helluva day here. 2bn mkt cap smashed.
