I agree minded. Could have beeb far worse. Guess if agenda items 6 and 7 looked to be at risk of approval, Val bod had no option but to cash call before the agm. Whist I was as ****ed off as all, I can now see logic. They Could not risk an adverse vote. As its turned out approx 10% cash vs approx 10% new stock. If and when we get decent news the action taken Friday will fail into insignificance. Looking forward to market rrationpre and post vote. Remember mms are still after your shares. That also invited false rumour, panic .....as we saw yesterday....Lets Hope we get sight of a long term plan together with a delivery strategy and hopefully all next week. I've tried....on with Barclays and their investment department isn't open until Tuesday. I couldn't have made this work outside of I'd managed it myself...Dindnt receive any voting papers and if timing of yesterdtays news would have been a day or so earlier I would have got to the broker and voted. Surely receipt this latest news so late should prompt the requirement for another agm?

...Summon up as much interest in voting for resolutions 6 and 7 as recommended by the BOD as without support are they not rudderless. Is there much interest in voting out there. Is anyone attending the agm. Todays RNS has definitely focussed my attention. Hope upon hope there is a deal to be done for at least one of vals cancer fighting drug lines. Fair comment Roses. I originally invested the proceeds from the sale of my house in banking shares. You know the rest of that story. So with what was left invested in pharma and fuel cells. I wouldn't argue with anything in your post nomlungo I've tried to invest what monies I've had in retirement in companies trying to do good for humanity. I've never boasted and freely admitted to my limited knowledge of investing But just about every company has gone pear shaped...intercytex, Angel, Reneuron now Valirx and it's usually funding. As I said I've made my bed and I am mature enough to accept error of judgement...but some on here who have very little to offer appear to enjoy hurting people....as I said I agree with every word you posted and yes the clocks still ticking, but posting in this site should be enjoyable not baiting people whose misfortune may be their gain. ...by what has happened today..but some of us have been absolutely shafted by events that's I am certain none of you baiting us could have accurately predicted. I am guessing the BOD has not been able to gain the requisite support to increase the shares on issue. So I am guessing they have been forced to secure more working capital at another massive cost to shareholders. Its us small guys that get hit the hardest and whilst I am mature enough to take full responsibility for my actions rubbing salt into the wound doesn't really do anyone any good...does it! There are also many people suffering from cancer hoping that a cure may help them. These incessant damaging actions to small companies like Val just take the scientists eye off the ball as they try fruitlessly to secure funding.

Agreed apple. Just look at what's it's done to Reneuron...an absolute disaster...consolidate on fantastic news if you want to take the risk .....otherwise.....!!!
