RE: Sirius minerals chat board19 May 2019 23:07
Hi SIPPn00b - the reason I didn’t sell - and to be honest I was given general advice away from this board, not specifically about Sirius, but generally to take my initial investment out when I was in profit. I couldn’t! - basically this has always been about a LT plan to help my children and I was more scared of selling and the SP going up than holding and it going down. I’m really happy with the amount of shares I have been able to accumulate, more than I ever imagined and divided by 3 that, one day, might make a big difference to them. Obviously now, of course I should have sold and I could have had the same amount of shares with some cash. I was even a bit confused about buying and selling within an ISA (which is a bit embarrassing but I do know now)! Basically even if Sirius one day get to £1 I will be very happy and who knows what might happen in 5.or 10 years. If I lose my money (which I truly don’t think I will) then I will have to put up with a husband who will never let me forget it, I will probably be relieved he restricted what I did invest, be very sorry that I won’t be able to help my children as much and just generally sad that a project I completely believed in didn’t work out in the way I thought it would. But when I made the initial investment I never thought it would be plain sailing, I knew mining projects could cost more, over run etc so in a way I was a bit prepared as well - to me it’s not real money at the moment bec I never planned to have the money for me if that makes sense! Ps thanks 15LIVES
