Think I’m having one as well Trintyman - had to get rid of the convertible which was def a mid life crisis because the dog got too big for the front seat so SXX became my new mid life crisis! But what I don’t get is I’ve read this board on a Sun night bec I’m so interested in anything that’s said - esp now bec I’ve changed my mind I want to try and buy a few more while they’re this price - not sure how but I’m working on it! Surely though anyone who posts on this board (esp at the weekend) must have a secret interest in Sirius - otherwise why would you - I don’t think I look at anything I’m not interested in - life’s too short - maybe it’s just me and I’ve completely lost the plot!

Usually look forward to reading the board when I can learn from my fellow investors, share in their frustration with the current SP, hear about latest developments and progress.....only that’s going to be easier said than done if it’s anything like last couple of days - if I want to read about all of that then I also have to wade through posters who only ever appear on ‘bad days’ telling me about their low SP predictions without anything to back it up, trying to make me feel I’ve made a terrible mistake and I’m stupid for investing in this company etc etc. Trouble is they’ve nothing ever to say about anything else - It’s like they haven’t even bothered to read SM website. They aren’t going to influence me at all bec it’s the way they come across - and I’m not grouping everyone in that who’s posting negatively - very happy to read genuine investors concerns and disappointment but it’s like this board gets hijacked by ‘outsiders’ and you can predict the days it’s going to happen. Shares are ridiculously cheap at the moment and it’s not pleasant to see if you’ve already got them and paid a lot more and why would random people seem to enjoy going on and on about that? I bought two pairs of designer jeans yesterday for well under half price - I’m not panicking that the company’s going bust - I’m just thinking how lucky I was to get such a brilliant deal and how well I’ve done - okay it’s a bad and ridiculous comparison but it could just be that all these extra shares in circulation are working their way through the market. I feel I’ve nowhere to go in politics at the moment and to me that’s unsettling and I am obviously a bit unsettled by Sirius at the moment but at least I know where I’m going with it!

I actually meant to say Chesh’s subs are the way to go not divs! But divs as well. But getting my words muddled up tonight - wondered why Alexa wasn’t listening to me when I asked her to set the timer and then realised I’d called her Sirius!

I don’t mind anyone posting negatively about SXX when it’s genuine and researched - it’s good to have a board where different points and views are put across. Plus I don’t care if LT holders want to have a moan - it’s understandable or even if LT holders sell and give their reasons - at least they’ve been genuinely interested in SXX as a company even if they’re not now. But why do certain posters always appear saying the same thing on days like today?? They never post on normal days and never ever on days when the share price goes up - okay so we haven’t had many of those lately but they wouldn’t dream of posting on positive days! I guess if that’s what they get off then there’s not much anyone can do except let them get on with it! I’m going for a gin even though I’m not drinking this week - at least I’ve done one day!

If I’m totally honest I was expecting this a couple of weeks ago when all the new shares came back on to the market - so go on SP do your worst! All I will say is that looking back it’s easy to say should of sold and bought back. I’m not a trader though and it would be too dangerous for me. Also at the end of the day throughout all these stages of SP decline - even this morning - when it comes to pressing that sell button in order to buy back lower it’s easier said that done if you are a LT investor, and basically the only SP that matters will be that of a few years time. Having said that we’re all only human and this share has always carried risk so it’s not an easy ride. But, however unlikely it might seem now with all the dilution and bonds got to be sold, because of the hugeness of this project and what’s happened in the past a small part of me thinks there might be a sudden turnaround and perhaps that’s why I can never bring myself to press that sell button - I’m sure that sounds like burying your head in the sand to some but it mainly comes down to whether you believe in this project or not long term and that’s such an individual thing. It’s easier for posters like me to be more laid back about this current SP as I wasn’t absolutely depending on it for my retirement but lots of investors feel badly let down as they were and they will now have to wait longer and I totally get that - but hopefully this investment will come good in time for everyone - if I didn’t think that - I’m not totally stupid - I would have sold

I find investing in Sirius very challenging when we have these days of a ridiculously low SP. Because I believe in this project the obvious thing to do is to try to average down - but because I bought too many too early to average down significantly I would have to put a lot more money in - but thats money that is going to be tied up for a long time and sadly and very frustratingly, and because I want to stay married I just have to sit on my hands. One day, however many years down the line it turns out to be I know I will be delighted with my holding but I have no doubt that I will regret not being able to take advantage of the situation we’re all in today. Good luck to anyone who buys in at these levels I’m not jealous at all!

Whatever ones views are on Brexit the inability to deliver it has caused unforeseen delays and plans put on hold across the country. However unpopular - at least Stage 2 is on course to be delivered - the alternative would not have been good which unfortunately other organisations are currently experiencing. Let’s hope Brexit is resolved quickly before much more damage is done.

Aaah thank you DGR1980 - I’m sorry to say I hadn’t grasped that and it makes sense - just imagine when this share becomes de-risked - the only thing that bothers me currently is that I should be taking advantage of this SP and it’s not that easy! But with everything crossed ‘averages’ won’t be a big deal in the long run!

Something that has been puzzling me - at the moment it’s too early for many fund managers (or those who manage clients portfolios) to invest in Sirius as they need to be more accountable in the short term and perhaps need to be closer to dividends - think I read CF touched on this yesterday? I’m guessing Quatar are different and Pelham deal in bonds but what about other organisations that might buy the bonds or become major shareholders? Are Jupiter and Capital different? Or would they be more high risk investment opportunity rather than low risk for their clients? Or are they just much bigger different types of investment companies with different objectives? I’m sorry if this is just basic stuff that I should know!

I do know what you mean xant14. It is easy to get caught up with it all and perhaps I’ve been guilty of that. I hope LTH’s who have a paper loss can afford the time to stick with it if that’s their plan. I like reading the posts on here whether positive or negative - just not the very obviously wind up ones - at the end of the day we’re all just doing our best and on bad days they all seem to appear! I must admit I have changed the way I think a bit after the last few months and realised a few pence does make a difference rather than just blindly holding but even that won’t make me change bec in the long run hopefully I’ll be happy enough and I know I’d get it wrong - but good luck to anyone that reads the situation correctly and acts on it!

Welcome back PAAA - you have been missed -especially by me! Only last night I was being told about the problems in India - one of them was the farmers have been losing money - surely the potential for Sirius in India is huge

What a hassle! Tried to put a bet on for Sirius Star and bit wary bec last time got so many messages from paddy power and couldn’t get rid of them but got to end of registering with someone else now my card won’t accept gambling payments so I’ve given up! Would have bought 126 shares anyway!
