Hi Chez, all I can do is tell you where I went wrong with my first share Sirius: I went all in kept topping up to lower my average, didn’t buy any other shares, when there were warning signs and posters posted their worries I thought I knew better and didn’t listen, when I was sitting on a big profit I didn’t top slice, didn’t cut my losses and sell when price was dropping and biggest mistake of all got emotionally attached. Hopefully though I’ve learnt from all of that!

I promise you I will never ever talk about £1 party’s ever again - just really thought it would happen with SXX - I hope I never make the same mistakes again

I was one of CF’s biggest fans but I have to say I feel incredibly let down by him. At best it looks like he got it wrong - misjudged things and wasn’t up to the job, he came with the best financial credentials and I for one had faith that he had the ability to pull this off. He’s let people down that were relying on him totally and maybe they shouldn’t have but the fact that many of them did means he must have sold it to them to make them feel comfortable in taking a bigger risk than they should have. He got paid a lot of money to do a difficult job and however you dress it up he failed and he let a lot of people down. I really don’t know whether he’s a nice guy who got unlucky or not but when that happens normally you get fired.

Morning! Just felt I should say I sold half this morning. For me having bought back in to my lucky number I felt uncomfortable and with half I feel I will be stronger and worry less. I’m still hoping more than anything I can remain part of this project and will do all I can to remain so but with a more balanced portfolio - although Sirius is still my largest holding!

Hello, after watching this for a few weeks I finally sold some of my Sirius (big decision for me) to buy in some here. Hoping I can remain a bit calmer with this share and not get too over excited!!

I can’t remember IBAB’s list of emotions but I know mine so far. For the last few years I have been such a believer in Sirius and just so upbeat - too upbeat I know - but I can’t change that now. When AAL news broke I was so shocked and genuinely sad. I so wanted to remain part of it. Now I’m so angry. Angry at myself most of all but also angry that as SH’s we are in this position. Because I know when I first invested in Sirius I invested in a project that was in the driving seat. Around Nov 2016 BOD was in a strong position re finance - there was an opportunity I’m sure to address Stage 2 then. Now we are where we are and mistakes must have been made with our money. I’m also angry at what’s going on now - all these RNS’s - every day stressing me out because I don’t understand them! What’s going on with Polygon? SH’s are just in such a difficult position and I’m so sick of it. I’m angry at myself because a couple of other shares I’ve invested in are doing okay and there’s another I’d like to invest in but my money’s still in Sirius. Why? I don’t know. I don’t want to lose my remaining money as I do see other opportunities but what is going on? I’m not like some who are prepared to lose my money - they are not having any more of my money. It all seems a bit odd and like others I’m waiting to see if anything does happen. I’m not even sure I want to invest in AAL now as I’m angry at them as well! I know when you invest it’s always a risk and I’ve said before it’s my fault - but is it? Wonder what the next emotion is - relief - that that you’re not being bullied/played (because that’s how I feel at the moment) - but how I’m going to get to the next stage I’m not sure.

I have been reading this board for a couple of weeks and bought into GGP a few days ago. I’m still hanging in there with Sirius which I got too emotionally attached to - not sure why but it’s hard to give up on a project you’ve followed for so long. Hopefully I’m not going to make the same mistakes that I made there again and on this board I hope I can read and learn rather than post in the way I did with Sirius! Just wanted to say I have appreciated all the posts here and look forward to seeing what transpires!

I’m not going to be able to react to anything quickly next week which has made me slightly nervous at this crucial time. But I’m hanging in there - why? because a small part of me thinks surely this project is too good to be given away for 5.5p. Surely it cant be this easy for AAL?

I can’t help finding it a bit odd that there has been no leak or speculation or hint of who the consortium was. You would think there would be some rumours. I know it’s all confidential but if it’s definitely a no-goer with all the upset going on would the consortium keep everything so under wraps? Or is it a legal thing - have they had to sign something?

I’m still here holding - as LL said .... just because - but I have had a SMALL punt on 3 shares for the first time which is a bit scary but I hope quite fun as well). My Sirius money if I have to have it (anyone out there from the other discussions - where are you)?? will go on safe shares (as much as they can be) - maybe AAL just to still be small part of it. I might introduce myself on other boards if I see any familiar names but I will not post like I have posted here! I won’t become emotionally attached again!

So do I appreciate all of the ladies and gents on ShareSoc Scott. In everyday life if you don’t understand something you ask until you get an answer - why should this be any different? I’m not put off by people hiding behind big jobs - I’m sure if they want certain things made clearer in their lives they’d ask questions just like we are

Picstloup - that’s why I am hoping that we can get some answers through ShareSoc because I did have faith in CF and that’s why I was as I was on here. I want to know whether it really was a case of outside climate (Brexit, hung parliaments, Trump, China etc) combined with it all got too big for him plus genuine bad decisions resulted in where we are today - all not great but the risk you take when you invest.

Or whether I misjudged him and he wasn’t the man I thought he was and there was more to it - I hope not

I don’t see that as SH it’s so wrong to ask some questions when we’re faced with what we are.

Hi Liary - the truth from me is I don’t know! I’m waiting to see if by some miracle something happens before we vote! I know I don’t want to risk my remaining money - I don’t understand how it can have come to AAL buying my shares for 5.5p and there are too many things that to me don't add up. It does feel like we are being bullied into selling our shares and after having been part of this for so long I’m resisting this as much as I dare. Hopefully ShareSoc might get some answers which will help us decide which way to vote and feel comfortable with it.

It hasn’t been easy being positive in the last year with Sirius - but you can’t pretend not to believe someone or something if you just do even though others might be saying different. You just have to go with what you think - sometimes you’re right snd sometimes you’re wrong. Obviously now looking back there were warning signs -but that was not the message coming from the company to its SH’s - we were still getting positive updates and conference calls with a specific plan. Wish I’d seen what others saw but I didn’t. So now that’s the reason why so many of us want answers. It certainly feels better than doing nothing and I want to hear some answers from the people that I chose to listen to over and above others, but at the end of the day they were supposed to be the ones that knew exactly was going on. How far we’ll get we’ll see but there’s an increasing number now and I’m sure whatever happens we’ll feel better that we’ve stood up to the people that at the moment looks like they may have let us down.

Yes but on 6th Dec if AAL and insolvency were both on cards why not just get rid of me quickly by giving me a typical one line response rather than chat to me for so long? Because of that obvs wrongly I took hope away from that conversation

I spoke to Tristan at length as well a couple of times and felt very reassured. I knew it was a difficult conversation for him but did feel it would have been easy for him to cut me off in a couple of minutes rather than talk to me for at least 15 mins. I last spoke to him on Dec 6th - I said I felt very worried that LT holders were the ones losing out on all this and he said CF was very aware of it snd it bothered him a lot. He said CF had been in bad situations before and always proved everyone wrong. He told me to listen to last conf call and update and the forward sales were very important plus the support from big investors who were behind them. Plus mentioned again they were talking to several people - all ongoing. DD still going on snd all going to plan. He said their absolute priority was to get this done as quickly as possible. He just told me to keep thinking of long term and they were doing their absolute best. I felt he was genuine and felt reassured.

IBAB - I’m not sure what’s happened but as you know, and it’s obvious now, many of us listened to that last conference call which wasn’t that long ago and took on board what CF said about how he was going to conduct the SR. Personally I went with that even though others didn’t and were vocal about their concerns. I chose to go with CF and because I went with that if I can possibly have it, I want an explanation. If we don’t get one then at least I know I’ve been part of a group that has tried. Every point that the ShareSoc raises I want to know the answer to. After having been a SH and invested a lot of my time in researching Sirius as much as I could what I didn’t do, which seems obvious now is heed some warning signs because i thought this was one of the difficult situations CF had been in before and he would overcome - as I was told by IR recently. I’m going to see what comes back re ShareSoc letter and go from there. I’m not one of those that wants to sacrifice the money I have left but at this stage I’m with all those SH’s that feel let down and especially for those that will never get over it because they’re local and invested for all the right reasons their pensions and now probably will never have the chance to get that money back. I have moved on in one way in that I’ve got over the shock (which might sound stupid but it was a shock) but not ready to move on until we know the reasons for this huge upset to so many peoples lives and who is accountable - and actually even in this cut throat world of business - it’s not okay because Sirius SH weren’t the norm - they were local and not share buyers and they should not have been encouraged in the way they were to invest and that now should be recognised, and again if it isn’t at least we know we’ve tried
