That won't come until closer to the October deadline. There might be some news on facility and FCA convos before then, but its the holiday season and peeps are away. The only way you'll get enough retail investors in the game to take on JBs shares is to have a day where there is a nice heft jump. That gets people rushing in and creates the excitement. Once in, you slowly deflate the price, drawing in folks who see value and other topping up, then let the lid off and repeat. This will get another healthy 20% jump anytime,

I have suggested previously that despite having been ill GC hasn't got much choice but to take the opportunity. Good he has topped up, but the vast bulk of shares he would have been awarded from the IPO. He cannot vest them until next year and they are currently worth sweet FA compared to where they were. That must be soul destroying to have had a big pot go south like that and I'm sure his motivation to fix this is sky high!!!

So you are asking a major holder in the business to effectively ramp up the news?? Hmm might be illegal that one. Any announcements must 1. Be run past the Board 2. Head of Compliance 3. Given they are being closely Supervised it will also need to be run past FCA. You can't just fling out news mate. Beyond an update on the facility there isn't going to be news until at least the end of the month. That should be an indicator that Amigo is on top of the October deadline and news on the complaints levels (which I might add are likely to grow!) what needs to happen is GC agreeing with FC a fair treatment that gives AMGO a chance of getting through.

I have to chastise you on this in a nice way. There was never going to be a bounce because a CEO walks through the door. Never for one moment would that be the case. 2 absolutes are true here. 1 There are lots of retail investors and there will be a shake -out of our positions. Normally the psychology will be to keep you demoralised and then some so don't be surprised if this goes off to 5p again. Let Sunset have his moment if it does. 2 Any news of significance is likely to come out of the blue on any random day as it is highly sensitive and will be kept under wraps. That JB is now entirely silent is a good thing as he cannot disclose anything happening that may influence the SP now that GC is in as it will smack of insider trading.
Conclusion. ignore the pyschology , stay focused on the big picture and wait for positive news. Its quite easy:-))

I'll look at that Ta! (sorry to briefly go off piste from AMGO) Most of the mining ideas are getting pricier. Hecla was a very pleasing shout. I do think Barrick will end up over 60 dollars so still lots of upside but thats now a 50% upside and no longer a mega opportunity. Next big area is consumer cyclicals. VERTU Motors is at a PE ratio of about 3-4. Give it a year and can double your money. right end of. only AMGO from hereon soz everyone.

Lets face it there are no scenarios where an Amigo loan feels great. Its a sh%tty world but i see it like CV19. If Govt didn t borrow all that debt the consequences would be far far worse and its true for indviduals. It may not feel like it to borrowers but better than going bankrupt and tough medicine will get many folk back on raod with blinkers and focus to get themselves out of schtook! This is a great business with a part to play for vulnerable people but they need extra handling. I have offered my services to head up the Baseball Bat Division but not heard back yet.

Wasn't patronising you as such and that's fair comment. I guess its an easy model. The higher the interest rate, the more complaints are likely to come. You are right about ODs in as much as it makes a still eye-popping circa 50% more mainstream and acceptable. The payday lenders at a gazillion% is now dead of course and there's a huge market from that fallout which is less exploitative and more secure. If we can get this sorted with the FCA, the upside will be breathtaking over next 2-3 years. I feel that if it gets to 30p, it will just as easily get to £3 in the fullness of time (once we're out of woods). No way I will sell at 30p therefore.

There s a big difference between 40% on an overdraft and 40% on a guarantor loan. Just pulling you up on comparing the two. THE END cost on a loan is at multiples compared to the vast majority that dip in to OD temporarily. Not worth comparing the two. No doubt we re high cost but personally not got a problem with it.

Yeah maybe/hopefully..i do believe that of all the lenders in the guarantor space that Amigo is probaly most responsible.. for starters they actually lend the least as an upper limit so hints at not taking p#ss and also JB set the tone and culture of biz which is a good thing you d think.

But affordability is only 1 of 5 other issues which includes things like not enough clear information for the guarantors. There are complaints about them thinking they were acting as a referee not being on the hook for the loan. There are complaints about enforcement processes being too vigorous. Complaints about the loans being recieved in 48 hours with sellers chasing for signed docs, when they should get a full 7 days with no contact to weigh things up. Also that Guarantors are seen as an easy backstop not a last resort. There is some real root to branch change that is going to happen as this is not a single issue about Affordability.

Yes I agree GC is backing himself and I love that!! I do think it'll take time so to suggest an RNS on the first day he turns up seems kinda optimistic to say the least! Patience needed with set-backs likely. Eyes on Prize though,

Ta Steve - I'm not trying to be a dick or proclaim I know more than anyone else. I absolutely don't!!! I've got 43K in this bad boy so I want it to explode north trust me. I'm just saying if it was a shoe-in we'd be at 50p plus. That we're not makes me think there is more to this and I'm just speculating what we don't know rather than what we do
