Yep Elon musk has a Nickle problem the cell Tesla produces is 88% Nickle. Tesla has massive pre order for cyber truck and then you have the big lorry this on its own takes 8 car packs. Battery day is coming for Tesla in September the high spec battery is very high in nickle Tesla needs the performance to weight ratio of these cells

Elon musk has directly mentioned that TESLA needs more Nickle because of its lorry and power projects. Its high end batteries need loads of it.

Just seen on Welsh news that the giga factory in St Athens has moved a bit closer. The Welsh Assembly have given funding for the building of factory. There has been a estimated 3600 jobs at this factory so not a small entity. No details of prosses yet not sure if it is an assembly or a ground up prossesing plant. But the lithium has go to come from some where???.

LFP batteries does not have the energy density of NMC batteries. You will have this type of battery in relatively short distance vehicles this will lower the price of these vehicles and will be the short commuter type cars ect. I follow this share as I think there will be 2 minerals that will be in 90% of batteries that's lithium(that's in all of them) and Nickle this is the biggest part of batt. But it is all price sensitive by 2030 they will need 2.75terra/watt of supply. These are massive numbers.

Just watched a vid on lithium supply. They have added up all calls on lithium and all production up to 2030.They estimate 2.7Tera Watts of batteries. They also say that production will be 483 gigawatt short??

Tesla is actually building a gigantic factory in Berlin this will build model 3 and y. Ok so I am a musketeer but they are world leaders and they will sell every car they make. Think how much lithium they will need. BMW have just kicked themselves in ar** and are doubling down in EV tech. This is huge but it takes time to get moving it's a waiting game now andLth are used to that.

If you look at increases of tin the lithium will be free. I think big mining has pulled to far back and this has created huge deficits in growth sector's. This will be a serious drag on economic growth. There are some very interesting opportunities for junior miners in these sectors. Sometimes I think juniors are under 2pronged attack. There is no appetite for the majors to find any type of exploration any more and they are waiting to see how far up the curve the juniors can get before they step in and fund. If the juniors fail the assets sit around until they are picked up for pennies in the pound. Also it is getting to the point where value is no longer the driver it is taken as given that any price is offer price and if a junior is backed into corner the shareholder takes the hit. This is creating shortages in some surprising materials.

Whoever is buying up has only to wait one or two days and can buy hundreds of thousands at lower prices if the trades shown are correct the investment windows is about 10 hours??

I did the same did not take profits when first pfs came out and had a 30% fall thought it would recover. I have averaged down to 20 odd pence waiting game now. Might even buy more the story has changed so much it has derisked a lot. Still way undervalued but I have said before once I sell here I am out of aim altogether it's not investing anymore it's a game of shorts and shy**s who have deeper pockets and shaft everyone at every chance.

This is pure speculation but:What if Tesla is going to split it's battery manufacture into two parts. There is the million miles battery that is lower power but lasts 15 years Tesla could outsource this ie factory in Wales. These will be used in their cars and power supply but also as a virtual power plant. So car will also earn money or you can buy it cheaper and Tesla keeps the money from vpp. The high end batteries will then be used in premium products. This then makes the case that cinovec would fit right into the supply chain. As the factory in Wales would be supplying 3.5gwh that's about a third of world supply. So as I type this are we a full magnitude out in Calculations.

The EU does not supply lithium cinovec does normal commerce then EU has its cut in taxes. It's in the treaty of Rome(or was it Frome????)
